  • Derwent Inktense Pencils and Blocks are great to sketch with. The colors are vibrant and the Antique White is surprisingly opaque.

    Ngl I tried out the inktense pencils and HATED them but your manner of working and layering makes sense and I really like the result! :D

    Thanks for sharing your lovely painting. It's the best of both worlds drawing with the pencils and painting with them. I enjoy watercolor painting and drawing with pencils. The inktense pencils are so vibrant. I just bought the 100 inktense pencil set and am looking forward to using them. Your tutorial was quite informative. Thanks again.

    I love your style of painting. I especially liked the orange you put in the stream. The bird is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

    Thank so much for experimenting with Inktense on camera as a hobbyist. As a beginning Inktense sketcher myself, this was very useful and validating.

    Thanks for sharing your Inktense sketch . The color choices for the stoney area was so surprising but perfect. Thanks for showing that. It seems hard to find Inktense tutorials that are easy to follow and mimic. You have a new follower

    You did a great job of giving the Inktense a natural look. I love the intensity and brightness of the Inktense, but they can give a very artificial intensity when I use them in landscapes. I was very impressed by how you layered the orange with green and purple to give the river rocks a more natural look. I will try that approach to see if I can get better results. I also thought it was fun to add your own mini me to the drawing. Thank you for sharing.

    It was fun watching use the intense pencils and blocks. I particularly loved what you did with the white inktense block. Your end result is beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

    Loved how you used the inktense pencils out there in nature, and the white block back at home. Very cool results! Thanks for sharing. Oh, and that lil dipper bird was gorgeous!

    I love using the inktense, and I'm fairly new to them. The white block for me seems to be easier to use for covering, or fixing an area. I like how you used it for the snow on the trees. Thank you for making these videos!

    Great video. I love your style and how portable your kit is. What is the name of the box you're using as your easel?

    • @PaintWithPencil
      @PaintWithPencil  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks! I made it myself using a wooden box I picked up at Michael's craft store. The main trick was to add some friction hinges to keep the lid in the proper position. I think I'll do a video on how I did it in the future.

      @@PaintWithPencil That would be great, as I was going to ask as well! I've got an old wooden box that I'm going to make into a portable art kit soon.

    I really enjoyed this video. Now I am wondering if the white inktense could be used to fix a mistake in a watercolor painting. I guess I will be experimenting to find out.

    • @PaintWithPencil
      @PaintWithPencil  Před 11 měsíci

      I definitely encourage experimenting 🙂. It all depends on the situation and the look you are after. White gouache is probably a more common and maybe better solution but trying new stuff is fun.
