I was passing through a very sad time of my life. I remember hearing "Scourge of the Offspring" and "We eat our young" before the album even got out. Now I'm healing, and even tho this music keeps remembering about that sadness, I can't stop listening to it because it's so fucking good
Edit: 3 months after this comment, and I'm back again boys! Landed a remote job, pays well, have way more time and freedom, new hobbies, a girl! Life is good. And this album is still my number 1
I hope you'll soon be able to associate this masterpiece to better times. Hang on brother.

Story time. I just found these guys. I'm blown away. I dig it so much. But I'm sitting here like... "I don't WANT one of my new favorites to be called 'Cattle Decapitation', but lo, here we are." So I'm researching them a bit, and I find out that they're named that basically because they're PROTESTING the treatment of animals in the current systems that we exploit them in (source: Wikipedia... lol I know but whatever). Some members of the band are apparently vegetarian. I'm like WAIT. THAT'S ACTUALLY AWESOME IF TRUE, cuz I am... wait for it... Vegan. (That old joke: How can you tell if someone is a vegan? Don't worry, they'll tell you!" Well, the prophecy has been fulfilled.) Anyways, Idc if they're vegetarian and I'm vegan, it's just awesome to know that these dudes care and have compassion, and ALSO make some of the most BADASS, ORIGINAL death metal I've heard in a long time. So I sit here, typing out a long-ass comment that no one will read, enjoying a new favorite, for sonic and non-sonic reasons. Hell yeah. Happy to have found these bad larries.

right!?!? their last 4 albums have been INCREDIBLE, and if this pattern keeps up they'll only continue to age like fine wine. i like some of their older stuff like KBK and killing floor, but these last 4 have been on a whole nother level!!

I like Death Atlas more idk why. Maybe cause that's how I discovered them.
I was with them since their debut. I thought they had potential. But I quit at Humanure and had not followed them since.
Until someone on the internet convinced me to give Death Atlas a shot. I did. And I was blown away at how much better they got. Monolith, Death Atlas and Terrasite have dominated my playlists ever since.
Have you listened to The Anthropocene Extinction album? 'Prophet of loss' is easily one of their best songs imo. @@4thseal

To me it didn't top Death Atlas at all. It also didn't top Monolith of Inhumanity for me or variety of Anthropocene Extinction but is somewhat on par with it. Still great album though.

Perfect example when artwork and music are in harmony, somehow this also reminds me of old Cradle of Filth. Despair in voice, fast passages, epic!

At a time when fewer and fewer truly concept albums are being released, Cattle Decapitation gives us a whole series. Terrasite is a logical evolution, insectoid post-apocalypse in all its glory. I listen to it again and I can't stop.

First time listening to this, blew me away especially the lyrics. When I am in a bad mood, I listen to heavy music it calms me down. Lyrics are pretty dark about human termites destruction inflicting mother earth. This band sounds anti human. Sure fits the description of society we are living in now. Wow!!!

They are anti humans activist for a lack of a better word. I've read interviews about this very subject.

So crazy. From what I gathered from monolith and anthropocene and maybe a little bit of death atlas cattle has been urgently trying to stop the ridiculous behavior of our species. With terrasite they have officially given up on our planet. In just another body the last part is focusing on the past because there really is no more future. We have failed. In every aspect. Beautiful fucking album.

@@codyb6849 well it's a subjective thing. I have listened to a lot of amazing albums this year. Ne Obliviscaris, Scorched Moon, Dawn of Ouroboros, Enforced, Gorod, Fires In The Distance, Neverus , Entheos, Enslaved, Majesties, Haken, Insomnium and many others.
However this album is something I'm gonna stick with for so long. It's a fantastic record front to back.
Still , there are many others I'm anticipating.

I just discovered this band on Pandora via listening to a ton of Job for a Cowboy. I am BLOWN AWAY. CD is absolutely fantastic, this album is so fucking good. Can't stop listening to it.

'Just Another Body' is an experience in itself! That song alone would make this a masterpiece, but they have the entire tracklist perfected.
Album is incredible but i just cant stop thinking what a good play on words "terrasite" is and how ive never heard of anytone else coming up with it before

Even though the riffs are super fast and sometimes have all these full layered chords going on... you can STILL pick out every single note!
Probably the clearest and well defined guitars on a metal record. Otero is a master, wish I had half his skills lol.
The smooth blending of a killion different metal subgenres makes me feel like they've take the whole metal genre itself up a level. Truly awesome to listen to.

Man Cattle Decapitation has really evolved into such an incredibly impressive band. This style of death metal they're playing is wholly unique and there really isn't anyone else that sounds quite like them. Extremely sick album 🤘
