Nobody mentions it, but gotta love how Corlys' hair was styled. When I saw him for the first time I was like 'Oh, come onnnn!', but after two episodes of good acting and actually knowing that THAT is how plenty of people from the islands are styling their hair in real life I totally warmed up to this image of him, or his son. Good job on adversity there, very good job, thanks!

Ofcourse :p boys will be boys. And when you have 2 boys who both don't just like handling their own swords.... but like to take another's sword in the hand that's still free.... you can imagine swords are being drawn constantly throughout the entire castle, the yards and in every chamber. On a daily basis ofcourse and even on their hunting trips, training in the woods and probably many other places we have no idea of.
And both do not have a woman keeping eyes on them, complaining that there's a place and time to get the swords out, and swords are not to be touched during dinner, or it's dirty to bring them to the table, being annoyed if out of the blue a sword is being taken into one's hand at 'innapropriate' moments, or not appreciationg one offered to her so she can join the fun (except when she deems it's a good time)..... those guys will have a much nicer life than most men who have to deal with their wives until their deaths. And their swords will always be valued, not just by them coz they know exactly how that sword works, bends, stabs and demonstrates it's full power...their partner shares the love for the other's sword and admires it much more than any wife would. Coz he knows the true value of it and always enjoys it putting a smile on his face. And when they're done playing with their sword for now.... there's always a different one present to compare and seek the differences like how it feels in the hand, what they think of handling a larger or perhaps heavier sword, and see how his partner amuses himself with his one, see his performance with it and maybe he has a few cool tricks that are new to him, and they always inspire and motive one another, coz when you see someone else enjoying something you enjoy too, and you're both very familiar with and good at... it wont take long before your own sword gets drawn and starts swinging around with the other one.
Swords are most enjoyed for their purpose; we all know that's if it's strong and firm, in a hand that knows exactly how to hold and handle it, grip not too tight and definitely not too loose. And obviously it shines most impressive if it has another sword to beat one another, and keep seeking each other out again and again. Best handled by two men who know how to use that sword blindly, almost as if it were an extension of their body :P
Since the dawn of time, women have never truly appreciated the sword, not consistent and unconditionally. Only when it could serve them, temporarily yes....

It was pretty interesting that Laenor Valeryon is the Same Stock of Valyrians. In the books George RR, originally, he said he originally pondered and thought the Valyrians would be Black People with White/Silverish hair. However it would be made Controversial, even in the 1990s. However, the Valaryian race was quite close to the continent of Sothoryos. So the valyrians actually did intermix together making an " Ethnicity". It does check out.

@@SamBrickell Sam, it has nothing to be about time. The 1990s was quite near to me and to all who were kids or adults back then. It's not like it was the 1960s however thank you for wanting to know more knowledge. And yes even in the mid 1990s when George RR came up with the ethnicity of the valyrians, he knew that it would not be well received if they were black skinned with striking white hair. Only old people of all Races have white hair, especially white race and black in the West.

I find the one part about Laenor a little odd that Laenor preferred men but he couldn't have fathered Rhaenyra children there were many Kings and nobleman alike in that day who were gay or Bi who fathered children with their wives out of Duty if not for pleasure. I know Game of Thrones is fiction Loosely based on Medieval Times. I always kind of found that weird even in the original Game of Thrones. Well I love this show so far just as I Love Game of Thrones.

The show runners for GOT, said initially they ran several screen tests for Daenerys to make her and Viserys’s eyes purple. They tried to digitally enhance them and they shot her wearing purple contacts. But everything they tried- the contacts and the digital enhancements all blocked the emotion they were trying to capture in her eyes on film. It looked too fake. So they scrapped it all together.
It's too late for that. You would create plot holes by giving them purple eyes now.

Aside from the obvious departure from this, why aren't the actors wearing purple contacts?
I guess would be an extra inconvenience for them..Emilia had problems with those to begin with, so since the Targ characters we first met didn't have violet/purple eyes probably the show runners decided to reject that trait completely for the sake of running quality show. It didn't irk me more than 2 seasons in GoT, now I'm totally used to it, but I still feel it would be better with contacts- the unnatural eye hue undoubdetly adds ethereal and almost godly appereance to Targs. But I can understand, wore contacts for more than 10 yrs and they are a pain to wear and maintain, imagine having at least 20 people on sets unfamiliar with them but having to wear them for 6-12 hours a day, through all kinds of scenes. Unpleasant would be a small word, not to mention how impractical, health-risky (severe eye irritation sent me home from school and work couple times) and easy to lose they are :D

I think unfortunately the show has been that concerned with not being seen to exclude people of colour they seem to have chose to totally ignore the fact that those of Old Valeryian decent are pale skinned.......it also will cause issues when Rheneyra and Lenar children are born .....surely been born ' white" rather than mixed race is way too obvious to be ignored. In F&B it's said that the 3 boys are fathered by a Strong .....but how they r supposed to ignore this difference of skin colouring in the show......I can't see it working without it being laughable.......

Due to the casting choice on the show (which I don’t mind BTW) you would think in the show’s universe that it would be very obvious who the baby’s daddy is. If the kids are born with brown hair and no melanin skin tone they are not Laenor’s children. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. The questionable “who’s the baby’s daddy” hold’s weight in the book. Not so much on the show for obvious reasons.
You are certainly not a rocket scientist! Gene Poles can produce kids of color if the mother and father are white and vice versa racist!
Features get bred out as mixtures happen. Corlys children are already half white, if they marry someone else white the child will look almost 95% white like Mariah Carey so it's easy to explain how down the line people lose features. If someone black and mixed continues to mix with nothing but whites or vice versa someone white and mixed continues to mix with blacks, within 2-3 generations you won't be able to detect any specific black/white features. It's actually how the African American population has remained mostly black looking. On average African Americans have 20% Euro dna, but because of the fact that most African Americans marry other blacks, you can't really detect that African Americans are mixed

This is George’s world. In ASOIAF a Wyvern that has the ability to keeps growing and breaths fire is a dragon. Plus a Wyvern and wyrm is a type of “dragon”.
