Thanks for the informative video!! Just saved me a lot of cash…went out for a quote and was told a few hundred dollars for the repair for the compressor. Told them I would think on it and started researching cost of compressor when I came across through this.. troubleshoot the relay and it was NG.. compressor clutch turning on now. Made sure to go back by the same place I got the quote (where I have gone for years and let them feel the cold air coming out) since I have been going there a while I asked to speak to the repair shop manager who has also been there for years.. I have said what I wanted to.. just sucks that it’s getting harder to get the legitimate help we need in a struggling economy.

seems like this AC issue is common in Honda vehicles, we experienced this at least twice on each of our Honda's (Civic and CRV)

My ac works at night time but as soon as I drive in daytime (hot) it stops blowing cold any ideas?

Blows fuse qhen you turn ac on Andrew fan on the radiator doesn't turn on. Blows hot air through vents
Which connector pin did you jump the 12V to for activating the compressor clutch? I can not hear well the voice due to the engine noise. Please can you explain? Thanks!
On the relay slots, on load side of the relay you might see one is power 12v one is negative battery from clutch coil so you can jump power to this negative slot to check clutch
Warning ⚠️ do not jump on control side of the relay and you should know what you do before too late
Thanks @@AutomotiveServiceExcellence I have just done it, and the clutch is not engaging. I suspect there is an issue with the compressor connection, or maybe is the thermistor, I will check the resistance level tomorrow.
@@AutomotiveServiceExcellence So I found out I do not have ground on the rely slot terminal where I should have ground (the terminal that goes to the AC clutch). So even if I sent 12V the clutch doesn't engage (obviously). But my Honda civic is an UK version, so it may be different? I can not find the cable going to the AC clutch near the alternator.
@@newgghoster6166 most likely compressor clutch coil open, check open circuit all the way from relay terminal to compressor and compressor clutch coil ground before replace compressor
@@AutomotiveServiceExcellence I have measured from the positive coil (where it should be go the 12V) to the ground (key off), in order to measure the clutch coil resistance level and it feels like open circuit (resistance above 50 Mega ohms). So I will try to find a clutch kit instead the whole compressor (it's an old honda civic 2006).

My AC went from blowing cold when I drove to not blowing cold at all. I’m thinking this could be the problem but what other problems could there be from this?
drive with ac on in the morning if it works ok then drive in the afternoon (hot outside) if ac stops throwing cold check pressure
My a/c not and also my fan won't running to. Can you What happens for boths run.
did you check pressure ? Low or 0 freon pressure ecm shutdown system

The MC/MG clutch and fans on my 08 civic is always on, however the air is constantly hot... morning r afternoon.
I changed the control and i realized they turn off and only work wen i turn them on.
I changed the relay and the problem still persist. If the refrigerant/pressure is low, will i b still having the problem?
low refrigerant pressure ac compressure clutch on off continuely in a several secconds if so check pressure
ac compressure work normal still no cold maybe bad expansion valve
