C'mon Nate, the person living in the Pelagius Wing of the Blue Palace is none other than Dervenin, Sheogorath's servant who sends you there in the first place. He even gives you the magic Hip Bone that lets him teleport in.
I've always wondered why no one just questions why you're carrying a hip bone. Seriously, they'll question daedric artifacts and basic armor and weapons, but no, a hip bone is commonplace.
goliathprime Makes sense 🤔
@goliathprime but how would he be able to actually get into the Pelagius wing in the first place?
That's what I always assumed too lol
He was probably sent out of the realm the Prince of Madness controls when Pelagius first entered the realm, they essentially traded places, but because Pelagius was trapped within this realm dervenin had to stay Within the Pelagius wing until his body died from the other side, which is possibly how he got there Pelagius hip bone in the first place.
Perhaps dravanian ran out of food, and left the Pelagius wing and when the guards discovered him in the palace they kicked him out onto the streets and wouldn't allow him back into the palace which is why we saw him outside walking the grounds like a homeless Madman.
Until he came across the last Dragonborn who could help him.
So I believe he only left the Pelagius wing because he needed food, but because the guards kicked them out of the palace he was unable to get back in which is why he needed somebody who wasn't homeless like he was to go into the palace obtain the key into the wing and get his master to accept him back into his realm.
This is my theory anyway.

Did you know that there is unique dialogue during "The Heart of Dibella" quest in Markarth? When you rescue the "Sybil of Dibella"; instead of taking her straight to the temple, you can bring the girl to her father. At which point you will see an unique and possibly unexpected interaction between the two.
A spontaneous act of incest taboo perhaps?
I never tried that! Will now.
Yup I tried to be like "here take your kid back" was surprised
I've only only done that quest once (pretty recently) and I actually thought about taking her back to her father to see if there was any dialog. But I was stressed out because of stuff that happened that day and I was also playing the game in survival mode. Well it looks like I have a quest to redo.
Aww, dang it! I just finished that quest. I even thought to try it myself! **sigh** NEXT playthrough, I guess.
Note* one of the skeevers in the basement is usually neutral, so if you dont kill it, it will just live there in peace, sort of like a pet rat.
They have occasionally been observed to remain passive if you don't strike first, not always the case though, but your kids can also adopt a skeever pet on their own in any case.
Sometimes they're just busy doing big rat stuff

I'm on the Creation Kit a lot and I found something you might find interesting for one of your tiny details videos.
Have you ever used the Aetherial Staff from the Dawnguard DLC? If you have, then you'd know it conjures dwemer robots, but that's strange isn't it? They're not some daedra from Oblivion, so ordinary conjuration magic wouldn't be applicable, but the visuals of the spell and the actual names of the effects explain it nicely. Shortly after using the staff, this strange shifting, shimmering effect is seen hovering above the ground before dropping the automaton. You'll recognise it as a "time wound". As a matter of fact, the staff references an object called "DLC1LD_AetherialTimeWound" in the Creation Kit. What is implied here is that the staff is pulling robots from the past in to the present by opening up portals in time, that said there's nothing in the game that directly proves this, but I feel it interesting, nonetheless.

Also rework all Riften plants as catnip, all building material textures as wool and cardboard, and turn every resident into khajiit.
Nate, your videos are absolutely incredible ...I've just started watching again since I've started playing Skyrim again after a break up (had to move out and thus have a lot more spare time) and let me tell you, your videos have helped keep me entertained, made me laugh and kept my mind busy ...for that I am eternally grateful, thank you so much.
Detail: While slaying the skeevers in the basement of your Hearthfire home, there is 1 skeever who isn't aggressive. If you sheath your weapon and leave it be it won't attack, and you won't have problems with skeevers reappearing regularly, unlike if you kill them all.
Also, #9 was a repeat.
So when will the details get so tiny to the point that they’ll be hanging out with microscopic organisms.
Oh they reached that level 23 episodes ago
Hey Nate, 9 is likely a reference to The Hobbit, orcs fighting a dragon, all end up in servitude of an all powerful necromancer, just a theory tho
I always assumed the bed roll in the Blue Palace was the crazy guy who gives you the quest, whilst waiting for the madgod to come home from vacation he kept close to him.
Tammy me too! Explains why the person who’s sleeping there is no where to be found
I mean, I'm not too surprised by the stuff involving Asgeir and Vittoria, considering their marriage is a political one, not a romantic one.
Maybe they are swingers?
Holy cow, I never knew there was a book called Crossed Daggers, History of Riften..... I love reading all the books I can find.
Erandur is a cool companion with a lot of dialogue, but some of that dialogue is shared with other characters. If you get him into a fight with bandits and one of them is a dark elf, the bandit (or Erandur) may say "You dare fight a Dunmer!?" and Erandur (or the bandit) will reply "You dare fight a Dunmer!?" in the same voice. It doesn't happen too often, but it cracks me up every time.
during one my playthroughs, the two had that conversation in the middle of the great hall and in front of the jarl. Not exactly a "secret" romance.
15:25 I love how her positioning puts her right in direct sunlight. Some vampire.
MegaToke I mean, she still has to keep up appearances lol 😂 Plus, not all vampires are the same type in Skyrim from what we learn in the books 📚

Im pretty sure Bethesda worded that sentence like that knowingly.
At some point I managed to get both the hircine items it's so broken, but the way you speak of it is like it's your idle
Well there's kind of a trick to it that's probably not intended (or maybe it is, who knows) where you can kill all the hunters, talk to Hircine, get the ring... then go back in, kill the werewolf, talk to Hircine again, and get the armor. The game still only counts that as having 1 daedric item though for the sake of the achievement where you need 15 of them (which is one each from each daedric prince in the game, except Nocturnal, since hers is part of the Thieves' Guild questline).
The ring is the better item if you're a werewolf (if you're not a werewolf it's basically useless), as it lets you transform as many times as you feel like, as opposed to just once per day. Otherwise the armor is better, but not all that great really.
I like how everytime someone talks about the Emperor or his name, it ends with "Himself"
If I recall correctly: in the Withershines book the dude at the end is found out to already be crazy and that hearing things backwards IS what was normal for him and what he wanted all along I think it even says he walks away with a smile on his face; and as for the palace theres a wood elf somewhere in the city that has a connection to the mad man in sheogorath's quest, he might have been his steward or something so it might be him staying in there.

Ive got one that suprised the heck out of me. Ive been playing since 2011 too and just a few days ago I saw something Ive actually never seen before and had no idea was possible at all. Weve all seen Alduin ressurect the one dragon near the earlier part of the main quest when youre with the Blades lady. 10:07 That's one way not to fight over the covers I suppose....

#8. I think the obvious choice would be Dervenin. He does have Pelagius' hip bone, after all. He was probably living down there, waiting for Sheogorath to return. Then at some point he left to get help.
Funny fact. In Hircine's quest if you side with Sinding you can get Hircine's ring, then immediately turn around and betray Sinding and get Savior's Hide too

I'm not sure if you have already covered this, as I just found your amazing channel last night, but one thing I noticed a while ago is that while almost every bard has their own personal differences in the singing of bard songs, the Wandering Bard (cant remember his name) has an especially unique variation of his songs. While the bards at inns or the bards college all follow generally similar notes for their songs, The wandering bard uses different notes entirely at some points in his songs. For instance in a song where the notes lower in pitch, The Wandering Bard will go up, as well as use sharps and flats. As far as I'm aware, he is the only bard that changes the notes so noticeably. Anyway, I really enjoy all your videos. Keep up the great work!!
It’s been great watching your channel double in subs.

The dragon skeleton in the soul cairn seems to suggest that a group of orcs battling the dragon attempted to defeat it by trapping it in the soul cairn. Interestingly this suggests the dovakin is not the only being capable of killing dragons, something we are told frequently throughout Skyrim.
Hey nate two things. First, I love the video. Second. I know this isn't a fallout 4 video however I think I found a good detail that i'm not sure is too common because I've only had it happen about two times out of the many playthroughs I've had, even when trying. So during a quest for the brotherhood, I was sent to a police station and I brought Cait with me. Well after grabbing the power core from the basement I came back up the stairs and cait ran past and said "Be right back." And she runs far enough away to where you cant get to her as she starts this event I guess you can call it. So She ran down to the basement and i could hear her yell and take psycho, such as she tells you she's been doing later on during her personal quest. She within a moment ran back up and said "Okay, ready to go?" and we continued on our marry little way
I'm not sure how difficult this is to trigger or how unknown it is, but i think it's a nice detail that Bethesda went through the trouble to have this event happen of which she says she has been doing within her personal quest.
Anyway love your videos nate and have a great day any lone wanderers, couriers,. sole survivors, dragonborn, Nerevarine, and Heroes of Kvatch.
idk how, but this is so enjoyable.
