  • Yo what is good my friends!
    In my newest video I'll answer your call and deliver a more thorough walkthrough of my latest build, the Specter Gouf.
    You asked for more details on the topic of LED wiring. I'm happy to oblige and hope that this video answers most of your questions. If there is still something on your mind, don't hesitate to reach out in the comments.

    I've never done a custom build with LEDs because I've never found a good tutorial, yours is GREAT! The day for a custom build with LEDs may be approaching!

    Excellent explanation! Probably the clearest and most thorough I’ve seen on led’s! Thanks!

    This video was recommended to me before the final build video itself. I'm very impressed not only by the quality of the build but also the quality of this video and how easy you make the tutorial seem!

    Thank you! That gives me ideas not just for this specific model, but also a couple of Zaku kits with that mono-eye....

      You are welcome. I hope this answers most of the questions. Yeah, I bet the Zakus use the same parts. I'll definitely do a Zaku some day in the future as well.

    I think your idea for a video about paint types would be fantastic.
    And maybe a solution to painting in spite of freezing outside temperatures?

    • @GiantRobolove
      @GiantRobolove  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree, paint type was a thing I wanted to do for a while. Regarding the outside temperature thing...I have yet to come up with a good solution myself 😅

    Great video. One thing i didnt fully understand of your assembly: i assume that you did a parallel assembly, with 1 set of wires through one foot to the eye and other set theough the other foot to the arm. But what did you use as power source for them both?

    • @GiantRobolove
      @GiantRobolove  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks! I used a battery pack with two AAA batteries. You can check out my previous video in which you can see the power source.

    Nice tutorial!!! I use this technique as well but 1 thing what mm LED do you use? I use generally 1 mm so I can use a lot of LED for the camera, mono eyes, and chest lens like the Wing Zero for example. I can see u use 2 mm correct if I am wrong, 2 mm is also nice to combine with 1 mm LED it depends on what kind of grades and ideas you have. But keep in mind with the cables for spaces that's why I use 1 mm to fit all cables in one hole. Nice tutorial I didn't know about serial and parallel theory thanks to you for clearing that up. Luckily I use the parallel + on + and - on - separate. You can check one of my videos on how I did it, especially my last video, it is indeed generally simple.

      The LED was prewired with a 1mm cable, but I ended up wiring them to a 0.5mm cable to make the routing easier. And yeah, I agree, the thinner the cable, the easier the routing job. I'll try LED with a MG soon. Must be so much easier 😅

    I've been using a USB connection instead of the batteries.

    • @GiantRobolove

      That's a good alternative. I might try this some day in the future 👌

    Should you not be adding resistors to protect from voltage spikes and discharging?

    • @GiantRobolove
      @GiantRobolove  Před 4 měsíci

      I haven't experienced any problems with the configuration of this build. However, I understand your concern as I had a battery compartment meltdown with an earlier build that I made. So that made me dive more deeper into the electronics and learn about resistors.

      @@GiantRobolove thanks, I was curious cause I have been using CR2032 button batteries which have internal resistance built in but I'm limited to how many lights I can add. I want to go 2xAA if I could but I'm scared, but if yours works I might just try, I could be over thinking it all too.

    • @GiantRobolove
      @GiantRobolove  Před měsícem

      Sorry for the late reply. Sometimes CZcams doesn't notify me of new replies. You can always test the configuration before installing it in your kit. Just leave it on for a while and if nothing happens, you're good to go.
