  • In this episode I'll do some live digs and you will hear and see the audio and 2D trace of the manticore over silver and copper with lots of square nails in the same plug. In the Next few videos you would like to see something specific let me know and I'll try to work it into the videos. Might try doing short videos going straight to the point. Consider Like and Subscribing if you would like to see future videos as they come out.
If you don't yet own a manticore check out amazon. As they offer free returns if needed.

Thanks Gary my pleasure, I'm trying to put together a comprehensive package of videos that can show the true power of the Manticore. I'm still amazed how well this unit unmasks non-ferrous targets in heavy iron "square nails"

Good to study the Target Trace and it's response to different combinations of Recovery Speed and Sensitivity.
    I'll be following your tests!

Thanks I will be doing more in depth testing. I personally find digging real world targets is better and more accurate than test beds or any air tests. As we all know the iron in the ground creates a halo effect that as far as I know can't be duplicated with air testing. Thanks for following.

Good stuff! I’m still in early learning stage with my Manticore. I’m actually liking all metal, listen to the tones, glance at the trace. I’m still digging everything just to see how those marginal targets act, and what they turn out to be. I’m also slowing recovery speed a bit and not getting too crazy with sensitivity. The machine is very powerful, and especially shallow targets are harder to locate with high sensitivity due to the edge of the coil being very hot. I rarely use the pinpoint feature, usually just the double D wiggle. But I still have TONS to learn…

I think we all have more to learn when it comes to the manticore! Thanks for checking out the video. Its been in the 90s around here to hot for me to get out not to mention all the rain we have been getting.....

Impressive recovery on a complicated hole. I have heard that as long as something is on the center line at least one thing should be good. You proved that theory!

Thanks Susan, Well In the next few videos I plan on diving in from what sounds and looks like a good target. To adjusting the setting to see where things fall off and things make it better. Keep an eye for future videos.

Thanks, Sometimes these traces look ugly but they have a story to tell. Once you start putting things together it helps for a clearer picture. I haven't had this machine for all that long and have allot to learn. But for those who want to stick around we will learn together and as I've always heard Together We Are Better!!!!!! If anyone would like to see something in a future video drop me a message in the chat and I'll try to work it into a future video.

Thanks Brother! Together we are better. Just trying to contribute something back as I have learned allot from Tom D forum.... I'm gonna do a bunch of videos showing the TID numbers like JJ wanted in relationship to the 2D Screen. I'm also gonna try finding how low the Sens will go before loosing signal and playing with the Recovery Speed as well. Try to capture all that on video with a live dig.

Nice finds I’ve been pretty happy so far with my manticore I do notice once in awhile I have a silver like a quarter 89-90 but sounds in the mid tones I had a Ben Franklin half on the beach nice 92 then a quarter VDI 89 but tones was off it’s happened a few times gotta dig them

Super hunt Mike! Pulling a seated and an IH with multiple nails in the hole is impressive!! Next time, try to get more video of the screen when scanning. I’d like to see the correlation between TID and 2D trace. I’m sure many others would like to see that screen in action too.

Thanks Denny I've done a fair amount of air testing with old square nails. Now I'm doing live digs to show what some targets look like and how different setting can effect what you see or don't see.

Well once they were announced I waiting about a month till I started pounding the internet till I finally found one. It ended up being a hardware store out in Calif that has been around since the 1800s that had a few. Was lucky enough to be able to purchase one. I was on 3 dealer lists and was slowly moving up but I'm a little impatient so I just started calling all around. Seemed like most of the ones that I had seen released were out on the west coast first. Thats just my opinion. You will love it once you get it. I would recommend not running it wide open till you learn the machine and that's what I'm hoping to do here with this video series. Hope this helps and hope you get your machine quickly....

    • @Photostrated
      @Photostrated  Před rokem +1

Yes I pretty much always run recovery 2. I've set that and haven't touch it since. I shot a video yesterday and hoping to do more today that showing if you bump up your recovery to much you will loose the target. I will show this in a near term video coming...

@@zulizwan1739 I just asked Tom Dankowski I'm sure you have heard of him. This was his answer, The higher the Recovery Speed....... the faster the AUDIO reset of a target. Also......... the shorter the audio response of any target. There is indeed moderate improvement using a higher Recovery Speed in trashy areas; yet, many times........ a slower Recovery Speed in concert with a slower coil sweep-speed........ will give really good separation AND better (overall) depth. Hope this helps I've pretty much only swung Minelabs for the last 20 years so I'm use to the slower swing speed.

@@Photostrated Thank you for your answer man.. for me lower recovery speed is for depth only... I use higher recovery speed for separations and unmasking.. anyway would like to see your video of recovery speed of 2 separate and unmasked better than higher recovery speed lets say 6 (if you have the time).. I have tried recovery speed of 4 to unmasked a non ferrous touching a nail with no success, recovery speed of 5 i can get a little bit of high tone though .. maybe I've done something wrong.. thanks again for your time and effort..
