    Not bad for a 1.0. I think people are missing the point of these engines though. It's not all about huge power and being able to cruise at 250kmh all day. For someone that does short journeys through the city and the odd motorway journey this car is perfect. Also even for someone doing a lot of motorway journeys this car is fine if you just want to cruise at normal speeds. Probably good on fuel too.

      @klonzoll3920 Před 3 lety +5

      good on fuel is littel HP yes but wtf 3 cylinder man hahahah is that a motorcycle or what with 3 cylinders . Is that some joke ? This engine is trash , the turbo will be dead if you drive it on high RPM .

    • @TheLittleRedCali
      @TheLittleRedCali Před 3 lety +9

      100% correct. People doubting this engine set up really need to go and test drive one. They are perfect for most journeys and all the car you’ll ever need. If you do all motorway driving then get the 1.5, if not then the 1.0 is a fantastic motor.

      @ivanrasevic374 Před 2 lety +2

      Bro, this engine isn't for highway. For highway buy TDI engine. Petrol 3-cylinder turbo engines aren't reliable if you are driving on motorway for a long distance and every day. Diesels are much better, if has DPF pollution is minimum, don't listen to eco-activitysts. My choice for city would be 1.0 TSI, for highway 2.0 TDI

    I have this one with DSG and for me It's completely enough horsepower. If you think of a car a tool to get you places then you won't be disappointed. I prefer the silence and gas mileage over top speed. 150kmh is plenty enough for our highways - I won't go faster even though the car could. I really see no point of getting bigger engine for users like me.

    • @Studijko
      @Studijko Před 3 lety

      @@duckland27 not the engine, but you get noticably more wind noise in this speeds. I'd say still a comfortable ride - you just need to turn the volume up to overpower the wind.

    I have exacty this Octavia 1.0 tsi with manual. As I live in Spain with top speed of 120km/h this performance is more than enough. Good acceleration on 2nd 25-60 km/h, really pushy 3rd gear after 2200rpm. Great consumpion on 6th cruising 110-120km/h of 5.5-5.8 liter/100km. Interesting thing about how they build this for Germany and Spain. I see this car has LED lights but no virtual cockpit, in my case is an oposite + rear view camera. My car is Ambition with few pachs (17* Trinity wheels, family pack, etc)

    I bought a 1.0 TSI skoda slavia here in India, (it's Indian alternative to octavia as its discontinued here).
    And I felt that power delivery of this car is better than a honda city ivtec 1.5 NA.
    As India has max speed limit of 120 kmph, this car is more than enough.

    • @shshashiekhar
