I was waiting for someone to do this. Watchin now.
cool, just a preview, I'll be sharing more once the parts are installed
I feel if this EGO goes well this could start a wave & community I’ve already joined the FB group.
Yup 100% agree, it's a solid platform for mods.
@@RunPlayBack good luck bro right now it looks like your the pioneer of this EV from what I can tell it’s like Surronster with the Surron.
@burn1gotbeats 👍👍
This is such a cool journey to follow! It’s nice to see something on the electric side that isn’t another razor
thanks! just trying to do something a little bit different!
Ego made the best mini bike for modding ego is the best
Agreed!
Lots of great information in this video, thank you!
No problem, thanks for watching!
Great Video… So much useful information…. I hope everyone watches in its entirety… 🙌💯💪
Vee dropping gems!
Looking forward to getting mine upgraded with your kit.
Awesome that you’re doing this! I figured that it was going to need a revamp to make it faster. Raced it against a go kart I built and it topped out at the same speed as that. So it’s gonna need some work but man it’s a solid bike
That's the plan! Stay tuned!
I love your ego mini bike
I appreciate that! Still in a work in progress..more to come!
Amazing video!! Vee is a G!!!
🤘🏼💯⚡️
Thanks bro! Agreed, Vee is a legend! 💯💯
Vee and the long island cam hero 🤟👽🚲🎬
💯💯💯
That battery is impressive, all that capacity with cell holders too. Couldn't the original motor handle some extra juice? It looked like the wire was bigger than on most 1000w ebikes?
Hard to tell without opening it up. There's really no specs out there about the stock motor. And we could potentially damage it by using more juice, especially at 72v. At least with the Sotion, it's been battle tested with Far Driver controllers and 72v. But I'm sure somebody out there will push the limits of the stock motor. I just prefer to keep the stock stuff in good condition for now.
Can’t wait to check out the finish results would definitely like to mod it easily with bolt on parts to make it faster🤙🏽
Stay tuned!
Just got my mini bike the other day. This is super cool, would be interested to see how the installation turns out
Stay tuned! Will have more to share soon! 👍
Does the stock controller draw from both batteries simultaneously? Or just one at a time. If one at a time, I wonder if you could mod the controller to pull power from both batteries simultaneously (112v combined) when peak torque is required.
It's wired up parallel and draws power at the same time. The controller can only handle about 57v.
Is that sotion hub motor custom made? If not, do you happen to have a link to it?
I couldn't find it online. Not sure if it's custom. I'd reach out to PL for more info.
@@RunPlayBack thanks for the reply and dope video! 🤙
@@Raspyrides of course, happy to help!
What is top speed with the mods, nrw motor, etc?
I hit 55 on initial tune but front wheel wasn't balanced so I backed off. My guess is about 60.
I see we can buy these for 1200 without battery and charger that's the way to go if plans to upgrade it.
Yup the tool version without batteries if you definitely think of modding it.
Why buying a 1300$ bike and basically trash almost all expensive components in it when you could start from scratch (white page, design yourself) or even using a roller bike with better stuff already in it or even a broken gas motorbike (e.g. Honda GROM/Monkey) ? It's kinda counter-intuitive and lost of money, no ? In the end with all that new power, brake and even the handling or frame by itself won't be good for it... it's kinda put 1000hp in a Civic, yes you can do it but doesn't make sense
Why so upset?
@@RunPlayBack I'm not upset at all, why are you reading/thinking that ? I'm just wondering and trying to understand. The modding and upgrade is nice and the projet is pretty cool but IMO it's pretty much 1300$ lost basically. I can understand you wanted to start with somekind of a base but there's quite better base for similar bike like I said and even older one like Suzuki RV90 or other similar competitor of Honda mini off-road bikes. Alot of components aren't made nor designed on the EGO for those crazy uppgrades, just the brakes are basically underpowered OEM
@@QuebecoisSti My guy, this is one of a whole series of videos we've been doing on the EGO Mini Bike. That's the whole point. Go further back to my first video where I talk for awhile about why EGO made this bike. Who is it for. What can we do with it. How can we build upon it to make it stronger Etc. Etc. Think I dunno a show like "Tested" or "Myth Busters". Of course there are more practical platforms, I even say that in most of the vids on this series of EGO videos. You'd know if you watched all of them. There's nothing practical or budget conscious about this particular project. I explicitly say it isn't. So why bring that energy here? You're assuming a lot about how I think about budgets and experimenting. Do your own build, use whatever components you want. You won't see me telling you what you should be doing with your own money.
@@RunPlayBack I wasn't hating or anything. Thanks for the explanations. Keep up the good work and I will take a look at the others videos you said. Regards.
@QuebecoisSti all good and i hear ya. You made a lot of great points and I appreciate your opinions. 🙏
