Sir Christopher Lee was right when he told the cast and crew that what they made “was pure magic”. Their ability to take tolkiens work and respectfully bring it to us in film and music is something that cannot be repeated. It’s a once in a lifetime thing and I’m grateful to live in a time where these films and magic exsist. I’ve jokingly said before that Tolkien didn’t make a fantasy world he was given a glimpse into another universe/history and was allowed to let us see it through him😊 but in all seriousness it’s truly a place like no other, a place that feels like home even if we’ve never been there before.
As a child I loved LOTR because of the cool action but as an adult I truly get what Tolkien was trying to say with his story and enjoy the escape from everyday stress that he gave us in telling us these timeless stories
P.s. I think Howard shore may have actually captured the song of illuvatar 😂
Well spoken. It is truly a remarkable work of fantastic art. The music alone conveys so much emotion. I can almost cry at command every time I hear some of my favorite pieces. Theoden is such a great character.

An amazing soundtrack to complement this epic film, including some surprising turns when the actors themselves break into song. Eowyns mournful lament for Theodens son was unforgettable. I didn't even know Miranda Otto could sing💔

The Lord of the rings - the best that have happend to cinematography
I'm only about 23 minutes in, but I can already tell that this playlist mashup is very well put together. It's not simply a number of tracks that play one after the other from the various LotR soundtracks. Each segment of music flows well into the next, and all I'm hearing is just one cohesive, flowing track. Absolutely well done.
Howard Shore captured lightning in a bottle with his work on The Trilogy. It evokes so much and rivals any other film for the best movie score ever written. A true masterpiece.
When 10:55 started, I also started crying in the library. I better listen to it at home. 😂

That is the singer Enya. The song is called May It Be. It was made specifically for LoTR and includes some fictional elvish language, Quenya, which was created by Tolkein. Mornië utúlië, translates to "Darkness has come." Mornië alantië translates as "Darkness has fallen."

I had watched LOTR so often, I got a bit of PTSD listening to any of the music. This version has brought me back to the Enchanted Lands of Imagination, and it is helping me to find my inner peace again. SO GRATEFUL! My husband IS A HOBBIT, and we probably watched the Extended Versions of the LOTR cycle about 15-20 times together. I took an extended break, and I am almost ready again. Nice. I only saw Rivendell in the movie. I never have had been there. The world of man is so unkind and cold and harsh and cruel and oh so very violent. This place sounds like a beautiful, wonderful paradise compared to the world of man that I live in. Unfortunately, it is all oppressive towards me, and I just want outta this man's world and to go where there is no war and no violence but only peace and harmony and serenity and happiness and joy and kindness reigns supreme.
