What's going on everybody?!? SeanPierceJohnson here with this week's edition of "Stompbox Saturday"! On the stompin' block this week is the Atlantic Delay and Reverb pedal by NUX effects. (Pronounced NEW - EX...not NUCKS)

Do you recommend this pedal as a first delay and reverb pedal? Cause buying affordable ones sepparately is about the same price. I would like to have a slight reverb on most of the time and delay and heavy reverb once in a while. Thanks!

this would be a really great first Delay and Reverb pedal. it has great sounds on both but you're not going to be able to switch between a subtle and a heavy reverb on this one. the Hold function on the footswitch of the Reverb only engages a Shimmer, it doesn't increase the length.
but this is a great pedal...you'll like it.

Sean would you recommend buying multiple pedals at once for someones first pedal board or buying single pedals??

If it helps, I built my collection one at a time. I think I've only bought multiple pedals on one or two occasions. But having said that, buying a tuner is kind of boring isn't it? If you have the money to spend, just be smart and do the research: watch demos, look up the info online, what do your heroes play?
A good place to start for a board for me is a Tuner, Distortion/Overdrive, Echo, Reverb, and maybe a modulation. And pedals like the Atlantic help make that easy with dual effects.

I already have a delay pedal. I was wondering if I should get this Nux Atlantic Delay & Reverb or the Boss RV-6. Any thoughts?
I guess it all boils down to what delay pedal you already have. There’s some pros and cons.
The Atlantic will be good for consolidating Effects and saving some space. There’s tap tempo for the delay and shimmer on the reverb.
But if you already have a good delay there’s no need to replace it with the Atlantic. Plus, the RV-6 is a great pedal for verb!
