I've been putting my gear together piece by piece. I got a G923 last year and this year I got a wheel stand. I had the wheel mounted on a a plastic table with dumbbells holding the legs down. I used two cat litter buckets to keep the pedals from getting away by bracing them against a wall. I used torn strips of towel to wrap around my chair's wheels to keep it from moving across the carpet. It's a little better now and it'll be a better next year too but at least it always has me driving and learning.

Bro, I'm in a similar situation, and came here to thank you for the towel idea, genius!

Just getting into this hobby and I love this video as I basically know nothing about Sim racing, was more into Flight Sim for years. I do have a PS4 and racing wheel and Gran Turismo 5 to get me started. I am looking forward to this series of videos. Thanks for making them available.

I Cut my teeth in sim racing with Live for speed, I Highly recommend giving it a go! it's got a free demo track any pc can run it and is great in VR! The feeling it gives is incredible!! still my favorite, you are right about gran turismo you need to learn how to drive round corners fast first! Great video!! excited for the next one thank you!!

I don't even have a PC at this moment. Let alone the seat, steering wheel, pedals, the rig that holds them all together...

Assetto Corsa vanilla version is SUPERB on PS4. It's identical with the PC version The Ultimate edition costs what... $15? Played that for years and there's plenty of content. Sure the PC mods are amazing but the base game is the same.
If you have PS5 you can also enjoy Assetto Corsa Competizione on 60 FPS. You don't need a PC for superb sim racing experience.
Sure, there's only two real sims on a console but those two are the best ever made, imho.

Got myself a T-GTII and T-LCM pedals (with added mod), plus a GT Omega Art rig. Only been racing with it for a couple of days now, after decades with a controller, and all I can say is it seems a steep learning curve. Think it will be a while until i am the same speed i was with controller. Immersion however is incomparable!

Running this (except PSVR2) since 2017 with no defect. One of the best investments I've ever done!

  • @detonator2112

Why make it complicated? Buy a decent wheel and Assetto Corsa.
I've been through them all... iRacing, ACC, rF2, AMS1, AMS2.
And guess what: In the end of the day Assetto Corsa is still the best.
