"Truck control"
Also known as a drivers license
NICHOLAS NANAS yes you can but at would be illegal
NICHOLAS NANAS yes but if it was against the law it would make it harder for people to get access to this stuff, for instance not having a drivers license will make it nearly impossible to buy a car or truck. If Americans had gun licenses and couldn't buy a gun without it, it certainly make it harder to get access to guns, thus people who have a mental breakdown or moments of extreme emotion wouldn't be able to get a gun so easily and shoot up something.
Thats why they do have gun licenses and strict background checks and people with histories of mental illness cant buy guns ...
Ethan Patten ... Except that they can. And not all States in America follow the same gun laws.
D W No they cant, not legally, im assuming you mean the gun show loop, which was debunked thoroughly by Crowder, also no, thats a federal license which means you legally need a license to own a gun no matter what state you are in, different states have different laws on how and when you can carry your gun.

@Lizzie Allen There are so many other countries where violent crimes as you describe are also committed, but with far less guns than the US. The result of that is far less gun-related deaths, no school shootings, no mass shootings, etc. Guns only make existing problems worse, as many statistics and studies show.
But I'm afraid the US has gone way too far to turn back now: if you neighbors have 10 guns, who is willing to give up theirs?
I've never owned a gun, and never will, and I never felt unsafe. And you know why? Because nobody that I know owns a gun. And we don't need them. It is an illusion to think that you need guns to be safe, and that illusion caused a massive proliferation of unnecessary weaponry, up to the level of insane.
The easier you make it to buy and own a gun, the more guns there will be around you, and the more you'll get convinced that you need to buy one too because you don't feel safe anymore.

Wait a second, we already have “truck control”. It’s called a drivers license and registering and insuring said vehicle.
Isn't a gun license in that case a form of gun control using that logic?
@@vibranium-riprich314 The way that America applies it...no. In most states in the US, you don't actually need a license to purchase a firearm (in Idaho they don't ask for one). Typically all you need is your driver's license to fill out an application form. Some states you need a permit, others it's only for handguns. It all depends in which state you're in. The Federal Firearms License is for businesses, giving them the right to buy and sell firearms rather than for people.
Now compare this to the U.K.'s method, which very much is a form of gun control: if you want to apply to get a gun, you need to make sure you get the right form (a shotgun license and a firearms license are two different things here), you have to specifically state what gun and ammo you want, you need to state where you're storing the gun and ammo to ensure it's being done safely, you actually need to state WHY you're purchasing a gun (you are not allowed to do it on a whim), you need to include passport photos of yourself, give two people to act as references AND provide your GP's contact details so they can check you're of sound mind. Then the police carry out criminal background checks on you and with these details can ensure that you won't be a danger to yourself or others. Then you have to renew that license every 5 years, where they do psychological and criminal background checks with each renewal.
Sorry for the essay, but you need details to properly compare them.
@@nighthasfallen456 plus it only took one massacre to ban semi-automatics
You don't need to pass a background check to buy a truck, don't have to demonstrate a need to buy a truck to anyone to be able to buy one, and you don't need a driver's license to buy a truck.

If guns kill people and people don't kill other people, then every time you fail a test, blame it on the pencil.
Think of it this way, if pencils have the capability to wound or kill a group of people within seconds, and are abundant enough to be distributed to every single person that resides in a nation, should we take away pencils?
What the hell kind of argument is that? Of course people kill people, but guns damn sure makes killing people easier! If you know people can kill people, why the hell would you still give them guns to possibly kill more people.
ThePantsJizzer If you’re proposing that banning all guns in the US is a good idea then you’re not educated.
@@didlydoo7029 Why?
@@didlydoo7029 A gun ban doesn't work the way you think it does. Gun control laws don't automatically force citizens to give up their guns to the government.
A good gun control law aims to limit the people that are able to use firearms (often through licenses); Restrict the supplying of guns; ban certain TYPES of firearms ( especially relatively dangerous ones like automated riffles); offer incentives for citizens to turn in their guns ( through buyback systems).
ThePantsJizzer but you can’t make gun control laws that will drastically reduce the amount of deaths by guns. Anyone can, at anytime choose to do anything. Even with extensive background checks, a person can turn out to be a terrorist or even suicidal. Did u know that the most deaths by guns are from suicide victims? Maybe we should work on building a stronger society based on trust and support rather than focus on a gun. At the end of the day a gun is a weapon just like a knife. And to me, that sounds like the stupidest thing ever. Target the problem (people that mistreat guns) rather than the object (guns).
I'm a hunter. I own a rifle and a bow. I find it bonkers how easy it is to get a deadly weapon in the US. It took me a day to get both weapons. We need better laws. We don't need an all out ban, but we need better laws.
Mintspice's Music I mean a law abiding citizen with no criminal past should have no problem purchasing a firearm.
@@gpsoldier9462 we still should have background checks and it still should take sometime, even of they've done nothing wrong.
True but the British people and liberals won't understand because they think they are higher than us
IDK but shouldn't there be like... a reason for why you own a gun other than a self-defence pistol? Like, why would an average joe need an auto or semi-auto rifle for? That's meant for a heavy offensive firefight not self defence.
Your an idiot it’s actually not easy at all I’d expect a firearm owner to know this

@Gary King "Just saying UK has a higher crime rate than America"
The US homicide rate is over quintuple that of the UK.
"their healthcare is way better than ours"
I doubt it.
"incase of a mass shooting"
They have more than anywhere else in the world...
"or a tyrannical government"
And that's just paranoia.
@Gary King Crime rates in the UK are only so high because we have so many pissy things classed as a crime these days! I can't call a man "Sir" if he's wearing a dress, as that's a hate crime! "in case of a mass shooting"?! They already have those. Regularly. Guns won't stop that. The reason Americans want their guns is because "FUCK YOU DON'T TAKE MY GUNS!" & "You can't change the 2nd amendment" - Which you definitely can, it's called an amendment! It's happened 27 times since they were written! Plus, it was written when the guns they had were single shot rifles. They already have a Tyrannical government, but they voted for that mess. If the public want to rise against that, good luck to them, The government have these things called drones that would wipe out any resistance in days. We're fucked I'll admit, but they've been fucked for years & are now just lifeless shells.

Honestly, how do some Americans believe that a few people carrying firearms will save everyone from an unexpected mass shooting? You need to take the statistics of the scenario into account, such as how many people are panicking and running for their lives? If you are just going to stand in place and look around blindly for whoever is raining shells on you, you're just making yourself an easier target for the killer. I don't mean to insult America or Americans, but sometimes, they tend to be blinded by freedom and how they should always be in control of what happens for their well-being. Too much of a good thing can be harmful, this can also apply to freedom.
You dont be a hero during a mass shooting, your carry gun is so that you and your family are safe, no one more. You only get involved when you are in danger, not when anyone else is
Except inner cities have the most crime. And guess what they also have more of... it's starts with a g and ends with control.
Like I SAID, it comes down to CULTURE.
So you need to compare apples to apples. Compare white areas of the United States with other white areas. Compare black inner cities with other black inner cities.
Compare specific cities in the northeast with SIMILAR cities out west.
Guess what we have less of in the northeast ? Cops getting shot, white people shooting up the place, etc. That's why Sandy Hook was so unusual. Then again, that kid's idiot mother was from New Hampshire; the last Republican holdout in the northeast.
And guess what we have more of in the northeast ? .............it starts with a g and ends with control.
Funny how Republicans understand the word proliferation when it comes to worrying about other countries having nuclear weapons, but don't seem to understand how gun proliferation leads to more violence.
Now I'm DONE here.

ModernArt forget to take the tea bag out tho .....
Wait they put milk in tea??!
I thought he was referring to the age-old controversy between those who put milk in first, sugar second, and those who put sugar in first, milk second.
ModernArt It came from when the material for tea cups was first used. It was thin and delicate so if boiling water was poured directly onto it it might shatter, so the colder milk protected the China. These days we have better materials and it's no longer a problem and those that put milk first are considered savages.

Then the state has the monopoly on violence. Evil demented people would still kill and maim innocents, but now there are no equalizers to let a young women defend herself from a larger man. In the US guns are used overwhelmingly more in self defense than in crime. Self preservation is a human right and a gun is the most reasonable tool to ensure that.
