Many folks found this computer method bulky and setting iup the apps to run jailbreak is a whole lot more than assignment...

Technically, all we need is an old computer that can run either Windows or linux.
If that's not easy, using Pico thingie or anything that lets us run raspberry pi os thing can be achieved.
We can run this jailbreak. Also, using routers and LG tvs, too.
@@theknowledgegamer3852 you can simply use a phone in order to connect via ssh (i use an application in order to connect via ssh to my orangepi zero 3 for monitpring the loading of pppwn) There's an id for raspberry pi, you ssh throught that id using the correct username and password and you can follow modded warfare's guide easily

I use a TV box that costs no more than $5. I installed Armbian on it and also pi-pwn. It works in the same way as this device in your video, you get an S905X or S905X4 processor and 2GB of RAM. It is fast in booting and jailbreaking.

If someone were to use one of these kits i assume it would involve keeping this device plugged into the ethernet port so that the exploit would run automatically on boot
What if you wanted to use a hardwired internet connection on the ps4 after running the jailbreak, would that mean having to switch the ethernet cables round every time?

I ordered one of these from Ali and you wouldn’t believe what they sent.. I got the rj45 cable, the usb stick and some massive scratched and dented TV set topbox wtf. It took over 3 weeks to arrive and I sent it back yesterday without even trying it. I ordered it just because it was cheap and I am lazy lol. Think I’ll just use the luckfox method that you have shown in your previous video. At least that way I can update it if anything changes.
Also I’m curious to know that if I do have it setup permanently so that it automatically boots the jailbreak every time I turn it on, is it possible to have a two into one Ethernet connection so I can also connect to the internet without having to mess about unplugging things or is this a problem?

Do I always have to change the internet settings of the ps4 after jailbreak to connect to the internet or is there an easier way? Changing the settings before and after each jailbreak is tedious and time-consuming. Is there a tip from you?
Had mine for 2 weeks now.. Way faster than the computer method imo. I know its luck but my PPWN on windows would often get stuck on some part of the jailbreaking and had to be manually restarted.
Traditional way seems faster, even if you have to change DNS server regularly between exploit and regular internet. But that is pretty slick. I cant justify risking my 9.00 config to move to 11.00 though.

Download the FPK of the game that you want. Then you will put that on the root of a USB drive. The USB drive must be formatted to exFAT. Once you have your USB formatted and the game file on the root of the USB drive, You will then plug it into your console after it is jailbroken. You will go into the gold hen menu. You will click on package installer and install it from there. Pretty easy What you've done at once.
Don't update 9.00 jailbreak is better, the new jailbreak in a pain in the ass.
You don't need to change DNS if you have a Pi or other SBC with two network connections. One connects to your PS4 and the other to your network and the sw onboard bridges the connections. That's for anyone with >9.00. If you have 9 then use the regular webkit exploit and JB with a permanently USB-attached RPi Zero. Keep your network up with regular DNS to your router.

Great update, but I was wondering if there was any option for us to keep the usb drive in the slot (using the default jailbreak via cached browser page method). Meaning all we need to do is leave the usb in the usb slot and then not worry about ps4 booting and screwing up with the usb if it is still attached.

the one thing I don't like about this compared to the computer variant is mostly I'll go do something while I wait for it to jailbreak but this only does a notification, so I won't know if it's jailbroken if I'm not right there
I am still on Fw9.00, I need only to plug an USB stick and run the JB.
Works every time, rarely I have to redo the steps, one try from 30-40, I have no reason to update to 11.
Brother please its my advice. Never go to 11 JB if you are on 9 JB. Because every games is backported to work on 9 and its still the best reliable jailbreak. I have a ps4 Slim and im on 9 jailbreak. Im enjoying a lot.

Have purchased one and am satisfied to be honest. I do not want to connect to my pc due to distance issues and a raspberry pi is at least two times more expensive than one of these toys so it was a no brainer. It is a bit on the slow side - it takes about 2-4 minutes for pppwn success but I have enough time to pour myself a drink and get some snaxx, by the time I'm done it is ready.
With this Device u need only 10-15 sek for Jailbreak!
@@albalb7264 Never really took the time to clock it but 15 seconds does sound a bit on the lucky side. Like I said the product is very good for the plug and play user but the missing features and difficulty in upgrading the payloads as MW mentioned is more than a valid argument.

An unplugged hard boot almost always gives me a first time goldhen boot.
Anecdotal but i figured id mention it.
Facing isssues for loading linux distro on ps4 , my usb is formatted in FAT32 and it got the linux files , confirmed through ps4 from both ports but still when i load tye linux payload , it shows no valid usb found

And when I first saw this tool I said for the price why not. And all it does for me is run the Pwn to activate it. For me that’s all I need. As far as updates to ? Games ? Apps? For that I have no idea. I use GB for games,dlc,and update they have. Hope this helps

not sure if you've fixed your issue yet but im sure you can always go into ps4 recovery mode and factory reset your ps4 then jailbreak as normal? but i guess you will lose all your installed apps and games and saves..
Part of jailbreaking is the fun of doing it yourself and getting the learn from the experience which includes attaining the required hardware/software as needed. If people don't know how to jailbreak, don't even get into this hobby in the first place.

There is no real benefit for now. Many homebrew apps still haven't been ported to 11.00, and fpkgs are still being backported for 5.05.

If your jailbreak worked and showed both PPPwn and GoldHEN notifications, the issue might be with your game pkg's. Try installing some homebrew like Hombrew store to see if it works.

Did you try the NAND Install on luckfox? Did everything as discribed but dont get it to work. The luckfox just shuts down and won't try the jailbreak. SD still works fine but not NAND...
yea, i did it and mine works fine. I had to change a few things tho since my ps4 kept shutting down and rebuild the database every time. I replaced the stage 2 and goldhen from the latest beta and it fixed it vs the files that came with the nand flash method.

I like the idea of these kits in principal, however call me a purist or whatever but I consider choosing the tools for the job and preparing them to jailbreak a console not that difficult, and part of the fun, personally.
I wouldn't say 11.00 jailbreak is hassle free even with a kit like this, anyway. It always needs to be redone after a reboot or kernel panic. Talking of which, although they're not frequent they happen enough that I'd struggle to call the 11.00 jailbreak stable - fair enough, it's a few months old and it's amazing to have, thanks to TheFloW and SiSTR0 for sure.
Having used 9.00 jailbreaks as well, they're a bit easier, but honestly without an integrated coldboot solution that does it without you having to do anything other than power on a device, it's always going to be a hobbyist project so the kit isn't removing all the fiddle from it, some but not all.
The hell are you talking about? The ps4 automatically tests the internet connection on startup. As long as you didn't change the internet settings, it's essentially a coldboot exploit. Even on 9.00 you have to redo the exploit yourself. 11.00? Just power up the console, make yourself a cup of tea and it's already jailbroken by then. No user input required.

If you want to use a LAN connection properly (for example to FTP files to and from the console) you still have to toggle between WiFi and LAN on the Network settings at the very least, or physically move the PS4s Ethernet over from the thing jailbreaking it back to a regular LAN port on a switch or router, for example.
Remember your use case isn't everyone else's use case. And I've personally found with 11.00 if you leave it in a position where PPPwn can start jailbreaking it from boot if the PS4 settings are already configured for it, it often takes more attempts to be successful or in some cases kernel panics the console, causing it to shut down. It tends to have more success and be quicker from the "Test Internet Connection" button, but what works best for some consoles doesn't for others probably because of hardware differences i.e. different southbridges.

this exploit was a soft jailbreak and had to be rejailbroken once the playstation crashed. was every time i installed a custom app. i would recommend this kit as you have to jailbreak over and over again and it successfully soft jailbreaks your system. untill a proper jailbreak comes out i bet the playstation will continue crashing. also completely disables your store, after the crash and when your in a nonjailbroken state the store refuses to open. :/

It depends on the person. If they are interested in learning how to set it up and learn at least a little bit on how the exploit works, then no, it isn't worth it. But if the person just wants a quick plug and play, without without having to set it up themselves, then yes, it is worth it. Depends on the person that has the console.

Hello lads, I keep getting database corruption once almost every two months and I don't know why it happens to me so often. Could it be because my hdd is failing, because database recovery also didn't work for me? I can't keep losing my game progress every time. Any help for me, or should I just replace the hdd if it's the problem?
Losing your game progress? At the very least you could use Apollo Save Tool to make unencrypted backups of your game save data, and be able to copy them back across and re-keystone them from donor saves if it's on a new user profile etc.
Not a fix, but look into backing up your ps4 data, it's in settings > system > back up and restore. You'll need an external hard drive or flash drive to do this. You can back up your applications, saved data, captures and themes from your ps4. Can't bacup your trophies with this method though. I'd advise you to exclude applications from the back up so that the back up doesn't take up too much space.

Keeping the ps4 is the only way.. once turned off the ps4 has to be connected via ethernet to be jailbroken again as its a temporary jailbreak

The new guide is on the github itself so you telling me you can find the site but cant follow the guide? All you need to do is install it on the nand.

It took me a few hours to figure out cause the github doesn't tell you to take out the sd card if you gonna flash the nand. github doesnt tell you that the nand method will not work if you still have the sd card inserted in the luckfox pico. I figured it out eventually but it took me longer with the github vs videos like this.
@@jjss3055 no, you dont need to flash anything really..... you just need to login into the root section of the luckfox and then upload the goldhen exploit to the pico in SSH and then use the install command so that it will install onto the nand so everything is done pretty safely. Im not that skilled either but i think the new method is much easier then the sd card method where you had to burn the sd card so if you where able to manage that then i have no doubt you will love the new method.
