The best thing is that he forgot to put the f3 screen across the black frame that he added to make it seem like "suffocation" inside the wall before getting out, ngl the jump cut was well hidden, if only he had put the f3 overlay over it lol
Completely irrelevant comment: I just started playing as a 35 year old, with my 5 year old son because he kept talking about it. This game is so much damn fun to play with him, it's like what I thought Legos was as a kid. Thanks for all the vids Mumbo, you're making this dad and his sons gaming so much more fun than it is already.

Primed TNT is not even a block at all. It's an entity and falls just like most other entities.
Obviously you cannot scaffold with entities. They don't take up a block space and blocks cannot be attached to them.

@@Lolhugge Well having enough ender pearls to use them for traveling does already require you to get to the end and build an end farm, so the elytra is probably equally valid. Also about the first thing you do after killing the ender dragon is getting the elytra anyways. Also also yeah you could just kill endermen manually but that's more trouble than it's worth.

Quick tip: helmets on zombies exposed to sunlight eventually break as they take damage. Instead, use a pumpkin because they don't break

4:10 the best way to simulate a one tick pulse would be to literally place the lever on the side of the piston and flick it, causing the piston to extend in one tick, spit out its block and break the lever which actually causes the block to be spat out

When signs were first introduced into the game it was not possible to navigate through the lines with the arrow keys. The only way was hitting enter. The arrow key feature for introduced later.

whenever i collect granite, diorite or andesite while mining, I use it for building bridges over lava to get it out of my inventory
I just laughed so hard when you said you ruined my clip and then he put the sheep on fire with lava

the two most important things to bring mining are wood and food, since you can't get either of those in caves (or at least before 1.18.1, not sure yet) unless you run into a mineshaft

When Mumbo starts speaking German you know that he’s been playing on the SciCraft Server too much lately
I am pretty new to minecraft. Been playing about a week so I don't understand half these life hacks,
but I do my scaffolding poles up using gravel.
After jumping off into water, If you use a torch to mine the bottom block and place a torch on the floor before the next piece of gravel hits it, the whole tower comes down instantly.
I brought a bunch of villagers over and lightning turned him into a witch so I built a glass ceiling 64 blocks above my base. Now it doesn't rain at my house =)

I Made some lifehacks even better!
Torches and Block Stairs: You can also place the torch to the side of the block and place your blocks on top of it
Quickly Crawl: You can also use a water bucket, although slightly more tricky
Insta-minable Blocks: You can use TNT instead of slime blocks if you have a creeper farm and a sand duper but not a slime farm
Get Jungle (or Mega Taiga Trees) Quickly: You can also mine in a spiral staircase inside the jungle log, from the bottom to the top, and then mine the remaining blocks down from the top
Get a 1-tick pulse: You can also just place a lever directly on the side of the piston and it will break it when you activate it, creating a one tick pulse (only works with pistons though)
Keep Breathing Underwater: Doors still work and are better in most ways. They don't cause damage if you unshift, and you can mine blocks as fast as you could on land
Break Your Fall in the Nether: You could also use twisting vines, which naturally spawn in the nether, and are also way less expensive
Honey Block Wall: You can also use chests instead of honey blocks.
FOV Photo: You can also use OptiFine zoom to quickly get a super low FOV.
Fly Through a Wall: Nothing to say on this one, it's actually really easy :).
For the second tip, if you're on bedrock edition you can just sprint in water then go in a 1 block high area and you're good :)

With that last one now ik where grian got his idea of flying through the wall to break into the hermitcraft, you're a bad influence mumbo
I have one tip to share. If you are going to traverse large distances make landmarks, that stand out, which can be seen from a far distance. Personally I have been making Crosses 5 Blocks tall, and I add some torches for good measure.
