I miss Japan so much, and Kamakura is one of my favorite places on earth. There is a killer seafood place near the top of Enoshima island. I loved all the temples, and though I am not a cat person, I enjoyed all the cats that make Enoshima their home. The Daibutsu is awesome. We also managed to find a cemetery with the grave of Masmune, Japan's greatest swordsmith!

Daibutsu was a great visit. The best ramen I had in Japan was just down the street from Kamakura station.
i was in kamakura, japan last week, that place btw close to yokusuka u.s. naval facility. anyhow, i get to see that same big buddha close up, took a lot of pictures. was in japan for 10 days vacationing last week, just got back in u.s. still have jet lag, went to see shrines and temples there like the tori gate, and castles like the one in osaka, the biggest one in japan. also gardens (the wisteria flowers wasn't in bloom, we're 2 weeks early, but still there was flowers of beautiful varied colors at the park, forgot the name of the park!). the cherry blossoms was in peak when we got there so took a lot pics of that. also went shopping were the icon man glicko was, hopped on a train ride around tokyo, we didn't get to go up the skytree tower because of time constraint, but we took a lot of pics of the structure and around. ate a lot of ramen and udon noodles, and snacked at all the goodies daiso store had to offer for 100 yen a small bag of fish chips, dried squid, and whatnot. and yes, that bird you're talking about will swoop in unsuspectedly at anyone once they see a food you're holding in your hands, as i witnessed it myself, and took a couple of pics of the bird in flight. there's even a warning sign exists for tourist to be aware of these birds for this particular shrine we went to. trek on!
Im from the philippines and I subscribed when you visited the Philippines. As a Filipino, Japan is my fave country in Asia. That country never cease to amaze me! Keep on doing your amazing travel vlogs!

Another good day trip from Tokyo is Kawagoe, Saitama. They film a lot of old "showa" era dramas there. 40 minutes and 630 yen from Shinjuku.

Good Golly Mr Tally! The little school girls in their uniforms, the drone work (can you SEE it as you are filming or is it a surprise when it comes back? The rows of incoming waves were meditative) The gigantic Buddha ( I listen to the lectures of a monk from Western Australia every night as I fall asleep) was spectacular....but that ultra soprano pink bunny mitten concert? Well somebody will have to explain that to me ...and the Pikachu backpack? Now THAT'S cool! xo and stay safe with your little bunch of hooligans!

I feel that Japan is my second home. Good that you are there now. Nice vlogs. Japan is like a mysterious thing that you have to discover and even if you stay a very long time there Japan will always surprise you.
If you love to eat, try Mentaiko (fish eggs) Unagi (grilled eel) , Chuhai(cocktail in a can) Winna ( sausage) , iced Winna Kohi ( iced latte with whipped cream). Basashi ( raw horse meat) etc.
Japan is precious. Enjoy and maximize being there.
I have Nihongo (Japanese) words for you :
1. "Sugoi !" (formal) /"Suge!"(slang) "
- wow , amazing , cool!
2. "Subarashii" - very nice as to flowers or things etc.
3. " Omoshiroi ne !" - funny

Tal I don't know how long you plan on spending in Japan but please try and visit Okinawa! It's an amazing tropical paradise that so many people don't associate with Japan at all! But don't just visit Okinawa island, go to one of the smaller islands off it ;)

Only just started seeing Buddhas, every other garden here's got one. It's best to go for the big ones first. He abdicated the throne for His bleeding heart, now we can take a tour up inside Him. Idle became an idol. Crazy world out there beyond the horizon. Shinto shrines look like fun. Can't wait til You's check out some of them. No beating around the bush Re priorities in those places.
