@@robertholmes414 it all depends on what you prefer later down the line. Unless you spend 10k supercharging or turboing a v6 they are hard to get more power from.

Iâve got a 3.2V6 that I bought new and has 76,000 miles. The DSG packed up just before the 3 year warranty ran out but no probs since. You should have tried the âlaunch controlâ and blown the other 1.8 away. The other big advantage with the 3.2 is that it complies with the London Mayor ULEZ, which few cars this old do.
Doing the launch control is probably what did in your DSG. Mine in the US didnât come with that feature, and the DSG has been bulletproof for 130k miles.

Hi Calvin. You know I've owned some lovely cars in the last couple of years, V6 naturally aspirated, V8's supercharged, Jag, M2, VAG turbo's. Even had a Maserati with ZF auto for a short while. But I have to say the Mk2 TT TFSI 2.0 auto Quattro I've just bought is just a cracking little thing. I love it. Black Edition S-Line. Pretty quick, just over 5 secs. Lovely little tail that raises. Low ride, 19" black alloys no gap in the rear arch. Reminds me a lot of the 3.2 Cayman. I think its all the car you could ever want.

Just came across this channel, great video. I bought the wife (haha use myself too!) exactly the same, silver 04 plate 3.2 TT DSG 8 years ago at 115k miles, now done 152k miles, regular maintenance, and only issue we've had is fuel pump went after sitting. Great cars, great performance, still love it and hope to keep long term, but we'll see!

Higher milage isn't really a problem providing they've been maintained and respected.. A lot of higher milage cars are open motorway miles anway..especially in top end cars..travelling businessman etc..sometimes. Maintainance and how they've been treated is crutial... Give me a higher milage car that's been respected with regular oil changes..filter changes etc...with regular fluid level checks..over a lower milage whip that's had a hard life anyday.. Some people freak over higher milage...it shows it's been appreciated.

I thought the TT 225 of the same year as the 3.2 had a very similar front end đ
Facelift 1.8T will have the same headlights and grill as the 3.2, bumpers remain different unless you buy a 1.8 Quattrosport which has recaro pole-positions, no rear seats, different wheels and the 3.2 bumper, diffuser and spoiler extension.
I always wanted a Mk4 r32 years ago but nowadays there just shit on fuel and slow lol problem with the mk1 tt is thereâs no space In is out

Calvin: random comment but the large Ash tree behind the Binca sign - make sure itâs inspected by a tree surveyor if you can. Ash Die back is causing structural failure to most that get and big problem within the UK. Also other diseases can be an issue. Random comment but donât want the great cars flattened đ
i had a little 54 plate A3 with the 3.2 in back in the day, great sounding car and blended in nice until you floored it
Had exactly that 3.2 model, year and colour, GL04EWT. Loved it, still miss it.

If a person buys a CAT write off & insures/declares it as one & then has an accident at some point in the future & wishes to claim
Would the insurance company pay out for repairs?
Would they write it off (again) if damage was bad ?
Or would they just pay out the original scrap value?
Would the different CAT categories make a difference in this ?
What would happen if the car is stolen ?
Iâve never bought one myself as it all seems too complicated...
Maybe you could do a vlog on this one day as you donât seem to be bothered about buying them

Well thats cos folk actually do some travelling instead of nipping 5 minutes down the road to work
Some people still believe 70k is super high millage. Some believe a car will bliw up and dissolve at 100k

Iv never liked these at all. I have been looking for a good z4 3.0 e86 for about 18months and everything iv inspected, test drove or researched ends up in still looking . After viewing this I think il start looking for a something similar to this TT đ€đ
I bought a one owner 225 tt on a 51 plate in 2006 that had done 160,000 miles it was like new sold it after a few months I checked the mot history on line a year later it had lost 80,000 miles, had a haircut
Bought a 335i from you 3 months down the line, I've spend a fortune at bmw getting it right and we still don't know what's wrong... Dissapointed
You get 6 months warranty on a used car it's the law

Great video and comparison. I bought a 3.2 recently, it was at the higher end of the market with low miles and a lot of work prior to purchase. Several months later and it remains aot of fun, great in winter weather, rapid and sure-footed with a great noise... Little write up on pistonheads here
