Hi! Thank you very much for the informative video! I have this same UPS and, as you did, I found the fan to be distractingly loud. I was wondering if you made a video about that replacement, or which fan would you recommend for this, as that's actually the only downside to what's proven to be an amazing piece of hardware. Also, I've found dust around the vent very often, as it just takes it in. Do you open up just to clean it? If so, how often? Is there any advice on how to go with it? Sorry for these many questions, but I've never done a teardown such as yours before, and I'm a bit scared of destroying / burning the piece ---if not actually deleting myself lol. Thanks for your time!!!

Thanks for posting a video of this unit! I am trying to find one to refurb myself. Is there anything special you needed to do in order for your DIY external battery to be recognized by the Tripp Lite unit? Did you repurpose an official "Grey 2-point connector" into the UPS or did you make your own?

I have this exact same unit i picked up for cheap hoping to use it for a project. I have a 72v 26ah LFE battery pack that I hooked up in place of the lead acid. it works fine for the originally intended UPS purpose, however what I would like to do is charge this battery pack with a solar panel setup I'm building, and use the UPS as an inverter to power a 200w pump that I have running approx 6 hrs/day. Do you know how to turn off/disable/remove the feature of the UPS that would allow me to run devices straight off the battery and not have to wait for power to be cut from the wall plug?
