- A playboy who still relies on his mother to support him is told by her that she's arranged a date for him with a girl she wants him to court. But when he sees her assistant whom he mistakes for her, he asks one of the hotel's bellboys to go in his place and he and the girl hit it off. Peter has a reunion with two of his friends and some old unresolved matters and secrets are revealed.
The Hotel reveals that behind the doors of every hotel lies an extraordinary story. Focusing on a busy hotel, this format is a fly-on-the-wall series that captures the daily escapades of the hotel’s staff and guests.
From the constantly changing rotation of hotel guests, some more difficult and hard-to-please than others, to the hotel staff and their daily challenge to keep things running smoothly, promote the hotel, keep the rooms filled, and deal with their guests’ sometimes surprising and shocking demands.

@@ashotofmercury It is a great series. Though not mentioned on the show, Christian was convicted of embezzlement and fraud at a different job and spent time in prison.
That “honeymoon suite”is utterly terrifying, so how anyone could think it was lovely just shows me how very very different us humans really are🤭
to be fair this is from the early 2010’s: we’ve had massive leaps in style and what’s considered “retro and cool” since then. then, that probably looked vintage and unique. now it looks like a total dump

He definitely wasnt a nice bloke,after he left this hotel he stole around £13,500 from another place he worked at and then changed his name and went on the run,he was later caught in Blackpool and was then convicted.

I think he has the worst, most unsupportive staff. They don't even try and embrace his ideas and he does seem to know what he's talking about but he can't do it all on his own.

This is comedy at it's best, Mark is like the Frank Spencer of the hotel business 👍

To be fair some of the guests and other staff look and act more up-to-date, but you're definitely right about the hotel it does look frumpy.

Yeah I saw that too, it's seems to be a common thing with small businesses, a local windows manufacturer has the crappiest sign outside his premises in faded paint and sagging hardboard saying 'Richards Aluminium' & it's barely readable & all it tells you is that these people have no pride in their work and no clue about first impressions.
I like Zac feel sorry for him ,probably the best member of the staff

The staff always discussing with the owner, always negative, always pretending knowing better, smoking in front of the hotel. If you would work where I work you would be out of a job years ago. Obviously not knowing their place.

Yet again Christian uses Marks money and hotel to play dress up,can't he run any other type of night?,always seems to do the same kind of night,meeting his own needs and not thinking about the affect it has on the hotel's name and reputation, he couldn't run a bath,very unprofessional.

Mark you have great ideas but you are too all over the place and your employees aren't invested in your Hotel. I realize this is an old show but in case you are still at it. You need to sit down with your staff explain your financial issues, your dreams for the the Hotel and if they don't share in your vision they can go. Give them a bonus at the end of the year if you make certain goals. You need a TEAM not the mess you are working with. I saw the episode you got rid of Christian which was the best decision ever.

There is that unwritten rule that you do not fraternise with a guest,no matter what..having worked in Hotels I can tell you now that rule is virtually impossible to go by,all I can say is extreme provocation got the better of me several times but I was young and daft then🤣
