Built by a division of Jeep for US Army i read. GM then bought the concept for hard cash and build Humvees and Hummers. Just an oversize Jeep.

How come there are no videos of a Hummer with the front window folded down?

I wish engineers would have made it luxury with car like doors. Because hummer has no enough space for luxury seats all the space is consumed by center bump.

I hate it when people call HMMWV's Hummers, never Known as a Hummer until 1992

for something as rough and tough as a hummer(originally built for WAR[Humvee]), yes, i think 13 is petty good.

Gotta keep in mind this is from back in the 80s and 90s. Fuel efficiency wasnt a big selling point of american designs at the time, especially with that much torque (as i recall one of the engines looked at was a gasoline design with single digit mileage). Add to that the cost and reliability concerns of outfitting an entire military and all in all the 6.2 was a rather efficient engine averaging 14mpg (with a spread from 4-24mpg, oh the joys of analogue designs). With the added bonus of still working with 3 of its cylinders out of action #zombietruck

150 HP 250 LB Torque and it only gets 13-14 MPG? I mean yeah it was the 1990s but that's fucking terrible lol
