      @@thetree7694 fasting has been the best thing for me. I’ve all diet programs, pills and gym and trainers spending lots of money. Fasting costs zero dollars. I’ve lost 30 lbs going for another 15-20. There are many other benefits besides weight loss. I have not been diagnosed with any major illness and I want to keep it that way. Shrink old cells, build new cells keep insulin low and much more with no drugs. It’s my new lifestyle start small fast 10-12 hours and then increase

      Thanks for sharing your personal experiences!
      Just to add: We do not recommend only water fasting, since it is very stressful for the body.
      According to the fasting method of our founder Dr Otto Buchinger, you can also take in teas, juices and soups, besides water. Our scientific studies show that it boosts your energy and does not break the fast.
      Furthermore it is easier to fast in an environement where there is no food and also fasting people. We recommend to fast (especially for the first tim) under medical supervision, like at our clinics.

    Of all the people I've seen being interviewed by your clinic, ive never seen anyone who I would describe as overweight or obese, is the clinic not for overweight people?

      Thank you for your feedback. Our guests come to us for very different reasons. From a medical viewpoint, fasting makes sense for treating various metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus type 2 or metabolic syndrome. It is also indicated for obesity, in particular for patients who want to change their lifestyle permanently. We will include your idea in our editorial planning. 🙏

    How was your first fasting experience like?

      During my first day after about 18 hours I become dizzy. This lasted about 5 seconds and than I actually felt better with more energy. I believe this was my body changing to burning fat. I now practice OMD 5 days a week, no food 1 day and no fasting on the 7th. I have never felt better. I am 64 years old and the muscular body I has in my 30s. I am blessed to have have your expertise. Thank you

      I just finished my first fast at the Marbella Clinic, I have to say the experience was overall fantastic for me... I struggled from day 2 to day 5 with nausea, sensitivity to smell and very mild weakness. The nurses and my doctor were extremely helpful in offering solutions to these issues. I think the care here is world class and it is important to really disconnect from the world and get in touch with your body, spirit and mind. Thank you for the opportunity to heal my body and my mind! I will be back!!!

    Do you have a method for preventing loose skin following drastic weight loss? Do you have a method for tightening loose skin after weight loss, without resorting to surgery?

    How long a fast?

    • @BuchingerWilhelmiFasting
      @BuchingerWilhelmiFasting  Před 2 lety +1

      The human body requires around 2-3 days to adjust its metabolism to fasting. This is followed by a fasting period lasting several days to several weeks, depending on the patient’s indication and constitution. At the end of the fast comes the refeeding phase. The longer you fast, the longer this refeeding phase should be. A typical length of stay for therapeutic fasting at BuchingerWilhelmiis between two and four weeks. In individual cases, it can make sense to fast for a considerably longer time. Our doctors will discuss with you how long you should ideally fast when you arrive, or, if you prefer, in advance.
      Apart from the recommended period, is there such a thing as a minimum length of stay for fasting?
      To undergo therapeutic fasting in our clinics, you should come for a minimum of ten days. That is the time you need for a digestive rest day before you fast, for the fast itself, and for the refeeding phase after breaking your fast. If you would like to get to know our clinics, give your digestive system a rest or take advantage of our other activities while enjoying our delicious and yet light wholefood cuisine, you may of course visit us for a shorter time.
