Reducing the risk of getting a bowel cancer

- Bowel cancer is common with over 40,000 new cases every year in the UK, affecting 1 in 14 men and 1 in 19 women during their lifetime. The vast majority (90%) of bowel cancer are found in people over the age of 50.
Whilst it is not possible to entirely prevent cancer, it is possible to reduce the risk factors for getting a bowel cancer, mainly by changing lifestyle factors
