Great vlog Lee although to be honest seeing those horrendous queues at the airport is enough to put me off flying or going anywhere abroad at the moment. It’s good ‘ole Blighty for me this summer. That’s got to be the most entertaining witty flight announcement I have ever heard. That pilot must have been to RADA and trained into Shakespeare as that was a delight to hear that. I adore flying, I'd live on an aeroplane if possible. Flying above the clouds always amazes me, they appear as a blanket of crispy meringue.
Airports in general are bleugh, I find them overwhelming. First time in an airport petrified me, it was nigh on impossible to navigate as it was crowded and I couldn't see any of the signage clearly enough.

My father and sister returned from far east in Japan airlines flight in the 80's. The pilot said out to the right is the greatest city on earth, London, as they approached Heathrow from the east..

Lee - I am not convinced that was really the pilot. I think that its a recorded message that they are using on each VS flight to JFK. It tends to get passengers to listen more carefully to safety and seat belt messages. You'll note that he didn't mention his name or even accurate data like ETA or altitude he would be flying at.
That was the longest pilot speech "IN THE WORLD!!!"It was like listening to an audio book on aviation😂

I feel all major airlines and airports are overwhelmed with the amount of passengers during the recovery of Covid-19 pandemic when people can now travel more freely for fully vaccinated passengers. These challenges are across my home country Canada, USA, Uk, etc. I don’t think the airlines are not prepared for the sharp increase in travel
Yes true Edward. Because no one has been anywhere we’re all gagging too get away. I haven’t flown or been abroad for 5 years and desperate just too jump on a plane and take off. Even if it’s just Spain for some little two hour flight, I’m just itching to get up above the clouds and see some some sunshine and foreign road signs. Sit on hot beach with a cold beer, walk into a fan cooled Spanish bar and order some Tapas with my cold beer, or get some Greek stifado stew down me in Greece. Man I love Stifado. It’s absolutely beautiful😋

I like right there at 29:04, 29:05 as you are flying over Galway, there are white wind mills there on the right side of this camera scene. By them being white in color and tall in figure, you are able to see them country-side.
Well, I have to say you flew over family and friends that I have there in New York. I saw a couple of parkways/expressways and from the onboard map there coming up or along Long Island area there is always nice...

Certainly not the Heathrow I remember from my last visit in '88. If I went there now I'd be lost. Everything has changed, all the old markers are gone.

When you're in New York City you should try a breakfast at The Square Diner, 33 Leonard St, New York, NY 10013. It must be one of the few diners left in the city based on the original converted railroad car design. Prices were reasonable too the last time I visited. It was my favourite place to eat in the city, for authentic food and feel, away from the tourist-ridden hotspots.
That pilot was so funny was he on something🤪 love it ✈🤣 got to say I feel virgin Atlantic as gone down hill later not as good as it once was 🇺🇸 which is a shame, and the meals are not as good I don't think it is worth upgrading to that it not worth the money
