For Vips we love them the same, but about facts: Gdragon, Taeyang, T.o.p, Daesung, Seungri..but it depends of the country and the time specially when one of them release a solo song.

You can’t gauge their popularity based in this performance as this is an award show and not a Bigbang concert. So not everyone in the audience is a Bigbang fan. That’s why there’s not much cheering.

Just to comment on “they did more here than the 0 to 10”. 0 to 10 was their concert and it was towards the end. I personally think they were fire in that performance, especially for it being a concert. This performance you are watching (MAMA) is an award show. So, of course they are gonna go all out with the dancers and stage production. But I get your confusion because people say all the time that Bigbang gets the crowd hype and performs like it’s their own concert😁.
You're right, people have their own bias and fav, but to be fair the biggest in bigbang is gdragon, followed by Taeyang, TOP, Daesung and Seungri

"they invented the nene" Bigbang invented so many things, not just in the kpop industry but hip Pop/rap music in general in those times when the members influenced many American artists that praised them individually and as a group for their extreme talent as singers and producers that fit the American style back then, along with yg best producer named Teddy who literally got offered to be Lady Gaga's producer back in 2010 but he didn't accept because he thought his future is in Korea and that's how we get Lady gaga vibes in 2NEL songs. There is just so much to say about this group and the members individually but if any one asks who is THE KING OF KPOP, its is BigBang, cuz any 3rd and 4th kpop group are considered legendary but 2nd generation groups, especially Bigbang are beyond just legendary, they own the title THE KINGS OF KPOP.
The reason BIGBANG is so huge and influential is cause they each have their own spotlight and can shine individually. G-Dragon is the most known and popular worldwide. But then you got Daesung who appeals to the elders and Japanese crowds. Taeyang who is a lot of fan boys. T.O.P appeals to Western crowds and Hip Hop fans. Then Seungri is popular in China. If you like RnB and Soul, Taeyang. Hip Hop, T.O.P. EDM, Seungri. Rock Ballads, Daesung. Experimental, GD.

This is an award show with fans of multiple famous groups, its already rare to get the whole crowd to cheer for 1 group, but bigbang is an exception lmao. The cheering isnt necessarily for the person singing they just cheer based on which parts are catchiest in the song, you see the cheering varies per song per person. The ones you said the crowd didnt cheer for, one of them won one of the most prestigious awards “song of the year” in 2014 as solo artist, bigbang is the only group where solo members (let alone 2, cuz 2 members in bigbang achieved this) won the biggest awards as solo acts not as group. The other one Daesung is the most famous korean artist in japan and had to do a whole ENCORE DOME TOUR, bcz his initial dome tour was completely sold out. This is what sets bigbang apart, their incredibly solo careers apart from the group. The one you like the deepvoice rapper is also a respectable actor in korea, they’re untouchable my dude.
Gd has the biggest fanbase worldwide as a soloist, but they are all VERY successful soloists as well. Gd is huge in China. Daesung is huge in Japan. It’s kind of weird that you are analyzing the audiences claps😭. I know you mean well, but it not that deep. The audience doesn’t have to cheer all the time for every single member. The audience loves all of them. My friend went to a BB concert in 2015 and her favorite is GD. When the projector at the concert showed all the members names, one by one, she screamed and clapped for the first three members. But when GDs name popped up on the screen last, after the other members, she didn’t clap or scream cause she was just tired. So the audience claps really don’t gauge popularity.

The song “Loser” is quite an emotional song.. all VIPs know how to enjoy their music, that’s why they keep silent and just enjoy their unique voice. But when it comes to a party song, definately VIPs will scream their heart out with them and also they don’t actually sing all the lines to show that they cheer BB up, they just sing along some words and respect their vocal voice. They guy he sat on is the youngest member of a group called exo which is one of the most popular kpop groups in kpop. Exo is in the top three male kpop groups alongside bts and big bang. Please do not call them fans it is for your sake because exo has a huge fan base that take thing too seriously sometimes just like every other fandom.I am personally a big fan of them because they are my bias group. They were sitting in the artist section which is where all the artist sit when they are not performing or waiting to receive their awards.

during MAMA2015, Taeyang was definitely the most popular/loved member after GD. i rmb him blowing up big in 2014 w his song Eyes Nose Lips, bagged awards left and right and pulled a solo world tour like GD did in 2013. the crowd didn't really scream for him at first in this perf but went WILD during his freestyle 🤣
after him i would say.. TOP as he's always been favourited since 2010-11 for GD&TOP plus his acting career, then platinum blonde Seungri being the star of the night, then Daesung even though he's still very much well loved by VIPs (esp in his target market, Japan).

Haha Changing clothes between songs is fun but GD even changed hair color between songs once :-) The Osaka video you saw has no intro because is a cut from a 3 h concert . This is a performance at an award show so is like a mini concert in 20 min . During Bae Bae that is the artists section . Those are other groups Girls Generation, BTS in the back and Seungri, the youngest in BigBang sat on the lap of the youngest member of EXO. If you want to see members shine solo watch MAMA 2013 During that performance each member apart Daesung got a solo stage then a group song at the end . This official videos sometimes have the screaming of the fans edited out so you can hear the song . I dont know if it is the case here but I saw for other performances big differences between how loud fans were in fancams compared to official videos.
You probably know by now that this is music award show, they only performed 3 songs here as they normally do each time. Other performers usually only do 1 song. Even if this is an award show, I can still see a lot of VIPs judging from the yellow crown light sticks(bigbang fanbase). The Osaka one is actually Bigbang concert tour and bigger arena. I just wanted to share, not trying to grill you by any means. MAMA award is boring without Bigbang's performance, I can say that much. 😆😆😆

Since you've been kept mentioning/complaining about the lack of close interactions or something like that on their 0 to 10 Concert, then check out their MADE Tour in Japan if u really want to see some Bigbang-VIPS close interactions. They literally had a MOVING FLAT FORM/BRIDGE (fiber glass made) above the fans/audience cockpit area & also moving cranes that reaches out to a much wider audience's area. If u really want a much intimate interactions then check out their earlier concerts like during 2010 where Bigbang literally went to the audience area & let the fans touches them even in their faces.
P.S. Bigbang's concert stages usually had an extended stage & moving flatforms that rounded near the fans.

I think it's funny so many people got defensive over your assessment. I understand it as a VIP for nearly a decade, but still, some of the responses are a bit much 😅. Something to keep in mind when watching lives is that the audience can be muted or turned down. You can clearly see all the crown lightsticks in the crowd, probably like 1 in 5 has a BB lightstick. It's always that way at mixed shows like this. Makes sense though since GD came up with having lightsticks anyway.
