No surprise at all that an AWD Cybertruck beats a RWD of any truck. The true comparison would be Cybertruck vs 4WD F-150 or F-150 Lightning. Hopefully you all can arrange for that test 😊

With similar tires, this is really just a test of weight. They all have enough power to spin the wheels.
When the cybertruck starts getting pulled backward, the computer shuts the system down.
So you need to redo this test and start with power in the beggining as soon as they say go.

I have a 2009 GMC Duramax 2500 diesel 4X4 with a factory Eaton locking rear differential. I would not even know the Tesla was back there.

Both trucks can pull each other with the brakes locked, so it's just a matter of who pulls first to cause the other to slip.
The car that moves first usually wins because it breaks the higher static friction of the stationary vehicle tires reducing them to much lower dynamic friction only. It's more about timing then power.

It's more about traction and weight than power..
But the weight is a big factor also, the cybertrucks computer shuts down the motors when it stars getting pulled backwards so there is no power, and it's to protect the motors.
@@Hugo-py2ce Shouldn't need to shut down to protect the motors... should just continue pushing them up to their forward current limit otherwise it's not much of a truck.
... or to say whichever vehicle's wheel start slipping first loses. assuming there is sufficient power on either vehicle to drag the other then it's pure timing who wins.

Some Teslas has a slip mode and that the traction control off for Teslas.
Something was not quite right here! Why the Cybertruck's tires were not spinning forward? It looks like the Silverado 2500 was towing 7000 lbs load, am I wrong? Plus the Silverado's tires are much wider.
The way tesla traction system is, it won't spin the tires, that's why you'll notice the wheels trying to gain traction but couldn't while getting pulled

As others have stated this is actually more of a reaction time competition as whichever is moving first will likely win. I’d also be concerned about the damage you’re doing to the vehicles.

Was this in 4x4 HI or 4x4 LOW? In my humble opinion, for it to be a tad bit fair as far as torque goes, it should have been in 4x4 low. Also, they should have been taken to a scale and weight equalled by adding passengers or cargo to the lighter of the two.
