How to PAT TEST a kettle safely. A class 1 appliance to ensure it is safe to use doing both a visual inspection and PAT test to ensure it PASS’s and is safe to using. Please note if it fails it just be labelled with a fail sticker and not used until fixed.

I work for a very big uk pat testing company and when we test any two part kettle it is treated as two items the base is one kettle is two and a label gets put on both parts ? Some people are counting it as one item some two . Whats everyone's view on this?

Thanks for the great video. I got involved in a debate on a fecebook pat test forum where guys were saying you have to test the kettle base seperately so a kettle is two test. I have never heard of this have you?

The kettle is not 2 years overdue as a risk assessment should recommend the retest period. PAT testing companies will recommend yearly tests but in the right environment the test can be 2-3 apart
