I work for a very big uk pat testing company and when we test any two part kettle it is treated as two items the base is one kettle is two and a label gets put on both parts ? Some people are counting it as one item some two . Whats everyone's view on this?

How hard can you push / do you have to push to get those little pins turned and locked in? I tried to but eventually stopped because I was pushing quite hard and couldn’t get it in and got scared that I might crush the lightbulb and cut my hand. Thoughts?

no need to take out the little plastic bits press the buttons and the whole lot pops off

I wish my ceiling lights were that simple to replace.

One of my bathroom halogen LED lights went out and when I switched it around with the other halogen LED light that was working it triggered my ICON airflow fan to stay on and I can’t turn it off unless I switch it off from the fuse box downstairs. So I bought two brand new LED lights but this time both lights come on but when I try turning them off they go dim and will not turn off with the fan. So I have to turn on/off the fuse box downstairs to activate my bathroom lights. I’m not sure if the new LED lights from Toolstation are cheaply made which is why they are doing this, or maybe it is the metal holders that the lights plug into, in my ceiling.

I live on my own and I'm not from the UK, so this came in very handy, thanks for your help. Might have skipped the first step...

WHat to do if the previous owner has over tighten the screws or damaged the intetnal nut you cannot reach, so you can never get the screw tight anymore? WHat a crap design.

The camera is too far away from what you are trying to demonstrate. You seem to have set the camera up to get you in the picture, but people want to see the the actual electrics rather than you - which isn't rude, merely a statement of fact! Try getting the camera closer to what you want to show us.
