I have been living in London for over 20 years, and I still love this unique city. Every weekend I choose a route and then walk for hours while listening to music. I never get bored of this wonderful city. So much to see and full of history. Old buildings and streets have soul and I can feel it. In particular I love Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. The old tinny squares with beautiful buildings and huge trees are amazing. My favourite parts of London are: Chiswick, Camden, Hampstead, Kennington, Holborn, and of course Kensigton and Chelsea. :)

The City is only the tiny bit near London Bridge. London is a town with 2 tiny cities.

This is purely, beautiful. The scenery, the pedestrians and of course, the amazing architecture are breath taking. I'm American and have not yet been to London, even for a visit but most definitely will some day. I've always had an unexplainable attraction to and affection for England, London in particular. London is so beautiful, I can't wait to visit. Every place just looks like a painting. The buildings have so much detail and intricacy, and even with the clouds, it still looks vibrant. Red is definitely London's signature color, it makes many appearances, and it is a great contrast to the stone facades. Love to the England from NYC! ❤🇬🇧

@@Tomfoolery1972 You will do fine :) I'm from a leftie country (New Zealand) and I was terrified of the idea of driving in the United States but the strange thing is that I found it easier driving in cites because I was always following someone it was actually when I was one two lane country roads I would drift to the left.

Look how well maintained the roads are. Why can't we have beautiful roads like this in NYC? London is much much older than NYC, yet their streets look so perfectly new. NYC roads look and drive like the surface of the moon.

Maybe UK isn't very good when compared to countries like the Netherlands, Denmark, and etc. but to a New Yorker like me? London roads look heavenly.
@@jutah Yea, in terms of influence and prestige NYC and London are the only Alpha ++ cities, but one has maintained infrastructure than the other for sure. NYC subways are third world when compared to London's, and London underground is older. I live in Queens, and they just repaved the roads in my neighborhood, but guess what? They did a shit job, the roads are not even, and makes me wonder how come we can do stuff like moon landing, space X, and have so much money, yet we can't even pave a perfect road. Should we hire Europeans to come help us?

There's alot of money invested into NY, the only city that tops it in that respect is Tokyo in fact. Rather it's the style of government, England or Europe in general cares about the masses and general public and the city of london shows that. While the billionaires on wall street/the white house couldn't give a rats ass about new yorkers or anyone who doesn't have 20 million stashed in a bank account.
To be honest, London is very dirty at weekends and cleaners sweeping streets and squares all night long and Westminster is also rat-infested. (this video is filmed in the morning)
A lot of ppl tend to not go in the main streets bc there’s Congestion charge for vehicles . New York is crowded with too many ppl whereas London especially the high building areas are less populated and ppl are just crowded on Oxford street and Edgware Road from what I’ve experienced . But in the summer is full of people

People absolutely love British culture. Its quite impressive how popular it is. Its been portrayed in so many movies, books, songs, and media of all sorts.
Beautiful old buildings and architecture unlike here in the US where they demolish everything old instead of refurbishing it.
I've talked to construction specialists who work in London. It sounds like they go to a great deal to keep the facades of these buildings. Same thing in Paris too. I love it!

London streets were laid out in Georgian and Regency horse carriage times 200 years before the first car appeared. New Elizabeth Rail line excavations have found a road built by the Romans, 2000 years previously.
Are you kidding lol. Look at the way they're driving, everything is small and they're driving 20 miles max, in LA everything is enormous, the streets, freeways and traffic is absolutely crazy, and you can exceed the speed limit

It's a cross between old downtown Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Montreal
Have been to 3 of the 4 cities you mentioned (with exception of Montreal, actually haven't even been to Canada), and I would say from what I know, not even close.
Lived in Philly for a while, I'd say that it has its unique, American characters that are not shared with anywhere else in the ('old') world, especially UK and other parts of Western Europe, where people commonly regard as similar to US, especially the 'older', Northeast US. At least judging by the video, downtown Philly (the oldest parts) looks completely different than what's featured here. Haven't been in DC for a while and haven't been to Boston for even longer, but I would say that I personally think these cities are also somewhat similar to Philly or NYC, and that's very different from London and other famous West European cities.
@@davidfreeman3083 I don't think the cities as a whole look like anywhere in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, but many individual buildings look like they were shipped from the UK to the US. Mostly the red brick buildings built in the 18th and 19th century, as well as most of the stone churches.
