Them yankee stripers ain't no joke ev. I'm using a loop knot on all my jigs and hardbaits too.
I love those rapala xr's, I think in the warmer months they outfish a mirrodine. They have one massive flaw tho, the Bills break off, you might catch 100 before it breaks or it could break on the first fish.
Nice fish. Where do you launch the kayaks at when you're up there? Also how's the battery life with that ePDL? Seems like you are out there quite a long time with no issues.

I been doing good with bass on them.
Probably in a few months- was making some new ultra stretchy Shad’s and got side tracked.
Quite a haul ... very tight lines. Question: Are the Striped Bass the only fish in those waters at that time? We're used to seeing several species in almost every episode.

Why not TA clips? I like loop knots also , especially for light tackle but for striper fishing I just find having to re-tie time consuming. I change lures a lot.

Unfortunately minimum size in NC is 54” not messing with one that big - mercury and way too much for me. If I had people to feed one story, for views one quick meal, and then dump it in the trash is too low even for me.
A bit too much "muscle em out the american way" but i guess sharks could mess things up if you use a thinner line/rod for proper fights/drilling the fish.
Gotta mix it up. Getting bored with the channel! Know lots feet the same!
