You have the best channel for creating cubes. I'm so glad I found you, you're awesome. Thank you for the video and for your work.
I really enjoy watching your videos. The music and video sync is so smooth.
Looks cool!
Love the way this came out! Can i ask what exactly went into the liquid core?
Thanks! It was a mix of water, glycerine, and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol
@@alchemistsattic Thanks for responding! I didn't realize so many things went into the liquid cores, why do you use a mix of all 3 of those?
@@joelcardona6404 the mix of water and glycerine is to get the consistency of the liquid right so that the stuff on the inside swirls around nicely but doesn't sink too fast. the alcohol is probably not all that necessary. I just like having it as a precaution against anything growing in there, lol
@@alchemistsattic that's really interesting thank you so much for getting back to me on it!
Wow, very cool! What ist this polishing bin you are using? 😊
The blue one? It's a shell casings tumbler with hardwood cubes and plastic polish :)
@@alchemistsattic thank you 😊
What grit do u sand the dice before putting them into the tumbler? And how long do u leave them in? Thats a mighty fine shine
I leave mine in a LOT longer than other people, but I sand them to 3000 grit and leave them in the tumbler for 2-3 weeks.
I've tried making liquid cores like this, I find the UV resin falls into the sphere every time I try. How do you get it to stay on top like that?
I've had some folks say that when they add alcohol to their cores it sinks more, so if you're using any alcohol, you might try cutting that back or out completely. If that's not the issue, maybe try a thicker UV resin if you can get it?
What brand of mica powder do you use for cores? apparently pearlx is hydrophobic so it refuses to blend into water x)
Oh, interesting. I guess I've never tried my pearlex ones. I've mainly been using ones from this set: www.amazon.com/Mica-Powder-Resin-Supplies-Pigment/dp/B08G65KP7B
