Coffee and cinnamon bun. One popular pastry to go with coffee is Finnish mocha brownies, which have some strong coffee in them. Maybe have some coffee liqueur with them. And some coffee ice cream. You can make coffee also in a pot: "Filosofi Pannukahvin keittäminen :)" and "Paula: Näin valmistat nokipannukahvit".

The joys of coffee have been praised even by Johann Sebastian Bach (18th century), who composed the Coffee Cantata! Cantatas are usually religious but Bach composed secular cantatas as well and the Coffee Cantata is one of the secular ones. The text tells about a young woman whose father doesn't like that she drinks coffee. In the end his mind is changed.
Personally, I drink a lot of coffee, with milk though. About 3-6 mugs a day.
Also, what people do is culture, so what Finns do with regard to coffee is culture, even though we might feel that way.

I drink the same amount in a year. I got to really try to keep my coffee consumption at this low level, because it can't be healthy to drink more than that. 4 dl coffee already today and I've been awake for a hour now. I run out of finnish coffee, so now I'm drinking Lavazzo Classico (I'm using filter coffee maker).

Finns have coffee and tea. Coffee is what you drink through day, multiple cups.
You only have tea when you are out of coffee. It's just a backup.
Finns also do sophisticated coffee time just like britts do tea times. This is because first coffee drinkers of finland found it as expensive and exotic. It was only for the rich and noble.
    Fun note about water:
Finland has the most cleanest tap water in the world.
Amount of pollution particles in watterbottles in EU/USA is greater than what would be illegal in finnish tap water.
Do not have high expectations of nordic coffee. It's nothing amazing, just something you pour down your throat.

5:27 That’s easy to explain. If someone doesn’t have a coffee machine and friends come over, they’ll bring a coffee machine. I would. I think it’s criminal to not have one.

I usually drink about 2-3 mugs of coffee every day (one mug is about 3 dl). I know the light roast is most popular in Finland, but I prefer a good dark roast. I also like espresso or americano, but it's just easier to put the drip coffee maker on to make a bigger pot and then drink it throughout the morning/day, since my pot keeps it warm for like 6 hours. I also drink my coffee black like 95% of the time.
Btw, if you're interested in trying out drip coffee, you might want to just buy a manual coffee dripper to make a pour over coffee. You put it over a mug, insert a filter, then add your coffee grounds and slowly pour hot water (near boiling point, like 90 celcius) into it. I think it makes better coffee than the automatic drip coffee makers, but it's only for one cup at a time so it's a little bit more effort. There are some great guide videos on youtube about this, if you want tips and tricks for the best cup of drip/pour over coffee. 😁

We on most days. Have this coffee with some pastry like cinnamon roll moment at home, when we get home from work. We all sit down the table and take this little time with the family, just like with dinners.

    Drink coffee, be happy 😊
    Focus on quality 👌🏼
Every day I enjoy about 0,7 liters of strong coffee (roasted as dark as possible) with oat cream. No sweeteners ☕️
I drink only coffee and fresh water 🥰

The most highly regarded coffee filter machine in Finland is actually Italian - Mocca Master!
Great quality and lasts for decades in daily use.

I start my day with a pint of coffee. It's 6 large heaping scoops of coffee grounds in about 4-5 dl water. I just weighed it out on a scale, and it's 55 grams.
Some days I only have the morning coffee, but often I'll have a 2nd one. If I only had one pint of coffee each day my yearly consumption would be 20 kg, so I estimate my actual consumption is 25 to 30 kg/year.

In Finland, dark roast is becoming more popular nowadays. But most finns like light roast Juhla Mokka. I like Löfbergs Kharisma that is dark roast and not so "acidy".

I used to put skinned milk in my filtered coffee no matter of the brand but then I got used to drink coffee black. Now when I drink my coffee black (no sugar or any sweeteners just plain coffee) it tastes better than ever! I dislike the most favourite brand of finnish coffee Juhlamokka it tastes like bland soap. I really like more aromatic coffees like finnish Paulig Presidentti ruby and swedish Löfbergs Kharisma. Juhlamokka is ok only if you brew it in a coffee pan at campfire. But I guess every coffee tastes nice when it has got coffee fat left and some smoke flavour from campfire in beautiful surroundings.
I don't drink that much coffee, only one and half cups (0,4 l cup) every morning and I feel my day is totally ruined if I don't get that and wake up in my own pace. I hate it when I have to rush for work and daily chores. I just want to enjoy of my morning coffee before getting busy.

Weird history... This guy tells as a that it was the russians introducing coffee in Finland. Where excatly did he move to, St Petersburg? Sorry to say, wrong facts. The russians tried for centruries to forcibly "introduce" their tea and samovars to finns, but nope. Now we are in NATO, and defend our coffee from the times of the Kingdom of Sweden. So yes, we are coffee people!
