What do you use to clean your stove top and sink ?
@@nariy-p6059 my stove & sink is cleaned with dawn power wash dish spray and sometimes something like bonami or a light abrasive cleaner 💗
I work with Juvenile Court and have for over 12 years. Parents please stop worrying about your children’s privacy. Go into their rooms. Please know what is in there. I’ve had kids that come from really good families doing things and their parents had no idea. It is important for their safety that you know what is going on with them and who they are hanging with. I love that Amanda sometimes cleans her boys rooms. She is not being nosy or anything but would be able to see if there was something alarming. Please….Please….Please.. parents if you’ve seen what I’ve seen you would go into those rooms. We have to protect our children.
Raised two boys and I told them they don't have any privacy in my home I reserve the right as long as they live in my home to clean their rooms their bathroom and even clean out their car if I take a notion to I paid for it and I want to make sure that everything is good when I get a place when they get a place of their own then they can have all the privacy they want

You do what works for your family and sometimes parents that think kids need so much privacy are the last ones to know their kids are having problems. My kids loved when I would surprise them and clean their room, when they left on a trip and came back to a clean space!

Amanda I don't think it's bad to go in your kids room to clean their room. It's good to go in their room to check in their room sometimes. Just to see what they have in their room from time to time. I love the typical mom moves! I had to laugh at the sniffing sweatshirts. The broom!! Ha! Been there! I raised 7 children, this brings back memories, cherished memories!

My Mom deep cleaned our rooms as a kid and we loved it! My favorite thing when I was younger was when she dressed my Barbies with shoes, and cleaned and staged my homemade Barbie house. One of my special memories.
I still clean from time to time my 20 year’s old room. As long as he lives in our home, we must check it and try to keep everything by our standards.
I do the same- I let my 11 yrs old son pick up his own room and then I go in and clean it the ”mom way ” 1-2 times a month. My 16 yrs old daughter however deep cleans her own room every sunday 😃👏🏻

I think kids rooms need a Mom's cleaning touch on a regular basis. My boys didn't mind me tidying up and vacuuming their rooms as they were growing up. In addition, you're creating a healthy and comforting environment...they realize they feel better when things are tidier than when their rooms are messy and chaotic. I've also used a designated broom for my bathtubs, until I got a new spinning brush, both ways are great at saving your back and the only time I wear gloves for cleaning is when someone in our home has been sick. My son felt like it was a "bonus" if I cleaned his room. He never minded and considered it a kind & loving act from his Mom. 💙💙💙

Maybe on your balcony area, you could think about enclosing that with windows and then you could open the windows when you needed to and close them when you didn’t and the area would stay a lot less dusty and you might enjoy it more season.

My mom used to clean my brothers and I rooms when we was still in high school. We didn’t mind as we were very close with our mom and she was a stay at home mom. She didn’t do it everyday, but when she had time she would do it and we are beyond thankful and blessed that she took the time to do it. She was a RS president in our church and we are grateful that she still made time for us as teenage, even with her busy schedule

When he gets a little bigger, the cats won't mess with him. I have a 12yo indoor/outdoor hunting cat and a 6yo bearded dragon. I let the around each other when bearded dragon body was a little bigger than an adult palm.🖤

When my girls were teens, they hated for me to come in their rooms & clean. I would give them a heads up on when I was gonna go through their rooms & do a mom clean. I would tell them, if you clean your room I won't have any reason to go in there. So when I cleaned their room, as soon as they got home they would look for their cigarettes they had hidden. When they couldn't find them they knew they were busted. 😂
When me n my brother where little (70's) we weren't allowed to play in our rooms n we had to make our beds every morning before we went to school. Our toys where in the playroom or the basement or we played outside. My mom never cleaned our rooms. I always gave my kids rooms a deep clean once a month. They where responsible for their stuff. My how times changed 🤣
My mom would deep clean and organize me and my brothers rooms whenever we were visiting at my dad’s house and I swear we all grew up to be extremely clean kids so you are doing amazing!
I used to clean my kids rooms when they were little until adulthood and they really appreciated it, like your boys thank you so did mine. You never know what bugs are crawling about in their rooms. ❤
My kids are in their 20’s and I still go in and clean “up”. I’m not going through anything either. Obvious garbage put clothes away grab laundry and dishes and vac. I’m with you :)
I never wear gloves. It seems more work than they're worth. That makes us down to earth. 😅 thanks for the motivation. Hopefully it will be with me at 5 when I'm off work.

I meant to say this in my comment, but I don't wear gloves. I make sure to wash my hands after I clean the toilet. It just feels like an extra step.

I loved when my mom would clean my room when I was younger. I reached a certain age where I did feel like it was an invasion of privacy but didn’t feel this way until I was like halfway through high school.
I was a single parent raising my 2 sons from age 4 and 8 until they turned 18 and went on their own. They had to share a room (we were in 2 bedroom apartments their whole life with me), so you can imagine how that room always looked...yup under the beds was also their preferred places to "clean". It cracked me up when you were cleaning under Noah's bed. I would clean their room every now and then and take Polaroids pics of the clean room and tack it over their nightstands...didn't work hahaha. Thanks for the happy memories 💜💙💚💛🧡

Kids who have nothing to hide don't mind Mom cleaning their rooms. It's one thing to barge into their rooms when their door is closed. I always knocked. I always told my kids it was my job to protect your kids, even from themselves. Parents who stick their head in the sand & aren't aware of what their kids are up to sometimes regret it when something bad happens that they might have caught earlier.
I never asked permission to do anything in my 2 boys rooms when they lived here..heck no! I do slow vacuum and love the results! Great video Amanda…you got so much done 😊
My daughter bragged to her friends that she had a clean room fairy! Her friends all wanted their own clean room fairy!

For your artificial plants, run some soapy water in the tub or sink. Swish the foliage of the plant to clean it, rinse and let dry. Works much better than wiping it.
I still go into my kids room and give it a mom's touch and my kids also appreciate it! While I am cleaning I do respect their privacy/ space but I think we have a level of understanding and my children know that...Parents & children relationships are different so depending on your situation it may be an invasion of privacy?? As for my household it isn't...
The house looks fantastic Amanda...Hopefully we'll have some warm consistent weather here in Ohio so we can finish up our outside areas....
Amanda, I have 2 kids, a boy and a girl, who are grown, but when they still lived at home I used to give their rooms a Mom clean too! I would never enter their rooms without knocking first, when they were home, but as a mom I reserved the right to clean their rooms from time to time. You always do such a good job cleaning, and the boys' rooms and 😂bathrooms look great now! 😊🪴❤

I had a wild pet bearded dragon in my garden when I was little! ( yes I live in Australia) and sadly they often do fall pray to cats

I think when they are as young as your sons are, even a young teen, it’s perfectly fine to go in and clean their rooms. They will follow your example and do the same as they get older of effectively cleaning their own rooms. I chuckled watching you “throw” items out of camera range while you were cleaning and wondered where they landed, but you showed the decluttering areas… LOL. Your home is just beautiful!
I didn't recognize Luke's room at first with his bed turned. I like it. My boys (now 27 and 18) never had a problem with me going into their room for ANY reason. I never went through their stuff snooping, however, maybe I'm old school and I'm sure I'll get some comments about it, my feelings are these - it may be their room but it's my house. My boys always felt respected even when I did go into their rooms to tidy, clean, and/or put things away and I think that's the key. I feel your pain with Noah. I'm raising my grandson who is 6. EVERYTHING is shoved under his bed too. Most time I just remove the mattress from the bed frame to clean everything out.
I don't use gloves when I clean (toilets or other things). Some may think it's gross, but I can clean better barehanded. I just wash my hands really well afterward. I live in GA and have a well. I have to use a pumice stone too. 🪴🪴🪴

I wish I had a handyman around the house but my hubby is the anti-handy man in this house. So today, I replaced the broken toilet fill valve in my main bathroom. I am pretty pleased with myself. It took 20 minutes, works great and doesn't leak. I should have charged my hubby for the labor. All he did was wander in when I was done to complain about the mess I hadn't cleaned up yet. lol
When my son was a preteen/teenager, I would do what you are doing. As a rule, I left him to his own devices when it came to cleaning his room. But every once in a while, I would go in and give it a good cleaning. He was also appreciative.

🪴🪴🪴- I had never heard of slow vacuuming until you mentioned it one time in a video. I have since been doing it, especially in my living room, & what a game changer! You’ve inspired me to start trying to do some makeovers in my house & I’m getting pretty excited even though some of the larger projects may have to wait until the funds can be raised to hire someone to do it! It’s so great that the boys appreciate you cleaning so their room’s & bathroom - you & Kyle deserve kudos for bringing them up with “please” & “thank you intheir vocabulary!

As a mom of 4 boys (and the one who pays the mortgage with my husband), we go into any room whenever. It's our house. The kids can run their place however they wish when they leave. It has worked in our home. Maybe it doesn't for others. Never any privacy in a Latino home, though. Lol! 🪴🪴🪴

Wow fanstastic cleaning motivation. I loved that you've carried a trash bag with you to empty the thousands trash cans you have around the house haha it's so satisfying to see so much junk leaving the house and you've had good angles to film even in tiny area.

You could probably get some of those large blinds to put on the open area of your patio upstairs to help with the dust coming in so much. Definitely motivation today and I needed it. I usually wake up with all these plans and bam life hits and you have to regroup. I think it is wonderful when you do the boys rooms. I know they appreciate it and do try to keep it up afterwards but I it's a challenge with 3 boys. Great job to day Kyle. Thanks for all the tips and as you say Till Next Time.

Many moved to a new state & arrived at our house after dark. We set our cats up with food, water, & litterbox for the night & were getting ready to head to a hotel for the night (furniture arrived next day), when one of them ran out the door. We chased him around the house in circles, until we both went opposite directions & caught him behind the AC unit. Oh, did I mention he was totally black? Only thing we could see were his 👀.
Not sure who was more terrified, him or us. The yard wasn't fenced & the neighbor's dog was barking, which scared our kitty even more.
We can laugh about it now. 😂

OMG Amanda, your egg chair story reminded me of when we moved into our house and couldn’t maneuver our mattress to the second floor, so we had to also use straps and get it in through the second floor window. 😀 Needless to say that if we move they will have to go out the same way 😂. When there is a will there is a way!!! See you on the next one.❤

I really love the boys bathroom. I love the tall plant and the feel it gives! I have used your broom hack, and it was a game changer for me and my niece, who I showed her how easy it made things. I have a powered scrubber, but the broom is a great no fuss bathtub cleaner! Thank you, for the inspiration and motivation!!!

It gets up SO much, I’m always amazed & disgusted by how much it gets up!!
