Brass is real expensive I would put small fake plants in it and style it with the handle up 🙋🏻‍♀️

Don't feel bad about paying $30 for that brass planter. Brass is at a high premium price now because of its scrap value. That is a really beautiful, unique piece! I bet that metal lantern looks really cool when lit up at night!
