      Pedro’s Garage Thanks, the gti is pretty much finished now, just need to put the engine in and send to the upholsterer. As soon as I get time I’ll be posting an update video.

      NoPro excellent sir. Keep on the lookout for an intro video to my Rabbit on my channel soon. I’ll be going through water pump, timing belt and tensioner and alternator replacement, then moving onto replacing the radiator support. $190.00 from a guy on the MK1 Facebook page. You should join. 👍🏼🙏

    What's the quality of the replacement front panel like?

      Hi, thanks. No problem. Would have came in handy seeing a video like this before I fitted it lol The panel is actually really, put it next to the original and can't spot many differences, maybe if I was to be super fussy I could spot a couple of bits but all in all it's great. There's a few spot welds along the centre that I'll be tapping in and filling just to create a nicer look if I take the bumpers off but if the bumpers were staying on then it would be fine.

    How do i fix my golf's door gaps? I suspect it accident damage as right side door and fender gap is small and left side is very big. No amount of panel alignment fixes it.

    • @No-Pro
      @No-Pro  Před 5 lety

      If the door needs to move closer to the rear it's possible the brackets that attach the door to the chassis might be bent slightly forward. You'll need to measure the gaps, work out how many millimetres it has to be moved back to equal the gaps. Then remove the door and take a measurement of the two door brackets on the chassis from the wing and tap them both back the amount you measured beforehand. This is one way to get the gaps closer. If the doors still slightly off from top to bottom use the door as leverage to try and 'persuade' it into the right position. If none of this makes sense let me know and I'll try and explain another way.

    Wonder if one used WURTH's panel bonding adhesive to fasten cradle to chassis?

    Is this the front panel I'd need to do a round headlight conversion with new fenders?

    • @No-Pro
      @No-Pro  Před 2 lety

      Don’t quite understand, is it the square headlight mk1 rabbit you have?

    • @SpermPotatoe
      @SpermPotatoe Před 2 lety

      @@No-Pro Yes and I prefer the look of the round headlights

    • @No-Pro
      @No-Pro  Před 2 lety

      @@SpermPotatoe ah ha I see, we’ll yeah I suppose that would be what you’d have to do. It’s a lot of work to put round headlights in though. You would probably be cheaper and quicker adapting the front panel that’s on the car. Wouldn’t be too much work for a body shop to do.
