I'm eventually going to sand, prime and paint my Mk1 rabbit, and I was wondering why, after putting the primer on, you used the green paint. Then you applied the final white coat. I'm new to this, and maybe the "primer" i'm speaking of was bare metal, i just couldn't tell in the video

Since RestoShack is so keen on answering questions from their viewers......
Epoxy primer is ideal to spray all over the clean bare metal to prevent rust. While the epoxy is still curing, you can apply body filler and do your bodywork. Anywhere you have exposed bare metal after doing bodywork you can spray etching primer to again prevent rust. Primer-surfacer is a heavy primer to fill sanding scratches and small imperfections. After the primer surfacer has been blocked flat, you spray sealer to aid adhesion and give a uniform color. While the sealer is still wet you apply your color, followed by a clearcoat if it is not single stage paint.
Here in this video they ended with the primer surfacer. Next comes the color.

Thank goodness for the mute button.
Terrible music choice. I am sure all the emo teens and man-children will disagree with me.
