I'm just about to perches one of the SCT tuner for jeep dodge chryslers witch one can be used for all three and removing speed limit please.
When you set up the tune, are the current options listed what is currently in the car? Or what is in that tune on the SCT? I noticed the Max Speed in the SCT on my 2012 Vette showed 115mph. I am guessing that is what the tune would set it to, and not what the car is currently set to?
My Car is 100% stock atm so don't want to spend any money on a custom tune until I get some upgrades, like a CAI and exhaust.

I only keep receiving 110BE error. Vehicle has been stock all it's life, has more that 12VDC power, and SCT X4 unit is fully updated. Aside from being able to unlock the ECU, the unit functions normally.
Any professional help is appreciated.

All this programmers works the same way. Custom or stock tunes are the same for it. When you load a "profile" will overwrite the info in your ECU, this tune will keep the stock configuration on internal memory.
You cannot use the programmer in another car, unless you load that default configuration of your car back to it, then you can use it in another car. (they limit that so every person need to buy one for their car...)

What’s the difference between a custom tune vs preloaded tune
Preloaded tunes are the files that come with the device. Basically they are tunes created for all popular vehicles. Preloaded tunes for a Ford F350 Powerstroke would be options such as: Towing, Performance, high octane, low octane, or High MPG
Hello sir. I just did a EGR DPS delete on my 2012 F550 and followed all the steps, the street tune installed successfully but the truck has been on reduced power before the installation and still on reduced power after the installation, how can I get rid of reduced power???? Thanks.

my tuner shop that I bought the device from has locked out the device from any further tunes. It has no preloaded tunes. What are my options? Do I have to go back to the tuning shop?

So i've noticed from two sites now these don't come with a mounting bracket. With that being said once the program is uploaded does the tuner need not be plugged in any longer?
Once it is done, you unplug it until you need it again for an updated tune, data logging, or setting it back to stock.

@@litoariel Did you use the preloaded tunes? If so, just run through that again and there should be a place to update if you have a CAI installed with. Buddy just did that with his Corvette. A Custom Tune would be better, but the preload is all you need for the CAI. Should prevent codes from being triggered by it and adjust the engine trims etc for the change in air flow.

How do I tune for no cats
Doesn't seem to work for me. I moved idle speed in drive to 1k rpm and rev limit in neutral to 6k rpm to test it. It said the tune was loaded successfully but when I disconnected the x4, I couldn't rev past 4k (stock) in neutral and it wouldn't idle above 500 (stock). I noticed that when you were doing it, it prompted you to turn the key off and back on while it loaded the tune. For me it only prompted me for a second then it would just continue loading the tune before i could react. This is on a '11 F150 5.0 please help

No.. there is the option to leave them stock.. you dont need to know about them or mess with them if you dont want to. 3 years late but might help someone.

1- How much typically for remote sct tune for gen1 Whipple supercharged - 95 Octane ( daily drive/low boast/safe tune ) ?
2- Any suggestions for places for such ?
You don't need a an SCT for a gen1. There's plenty other "preloaded" chips and tuners that would fit your needs

I got the SCT tuner device with the car and I am not into supercharged cars but I will install it and then most likely needed it to be tuned .

As long as you have it no, but say you ran into a problem and you had to take it back to your dealer make sure you reset it back to stock.

You have to set the vehicle it is married to back to stock.
There's hardly any support for this. This video basically shows you how to light up your dash like a Christmas tree because unless you know what you're doing that's what's going to happen. Why doesn't SCT answer these questions on here ?

I would guess that it is the tune itself not the tuner. I just bought one with a Steeda tune. I've put 1200 miles on my 14 Mustang GT and it is running just fine.
