KickinItWithQ thanks for the video . I bought an SCT tuner for my 2012 f150 back in 11/18 and got 2 free tunes with it . I tried loading them onto my tuner but didn’t know how and ended up messing up the tuner. Luckily The company ended up sending me a new one. I hope I get it done after this video

Very helpful videos! What did you find out about sport mode with the tuner? Also can you shut off the auto start / off permanently with the tuner?
No you can’t turn off the auto start stop with this turner. Sport mode maybe little quicker but max speed is the same

Quick question for you, Q. I have the same tuner you have. I have the 93PR-X, 93PR-X (NO TRANS TUNING). I wanted to use the 93PR-X tune, so I was at 37 miles to E, with 87 Octane still in the tank. So I filled my tank up with 93 octane and was about to add the tune to my truck. I watched your video first and didn't realize that I had to have it on E before adding the 93 gas. All that just to say, is it ok to tune the truck because I have a mixture, right? Also, with this tune, will it adjust my speedometer? I have 24×12 with a -44 offset wrapped in 37x13.5 Nitto Recon Grapplers
Yea you’ll be fine with running the 93 with little 87. You have to adjust the tire size for the Speedo to be more accurate

If you have the tunes preloaded onto the device from MPT for the additional $50, do you still have to do all of the updating and uploading yourself? Just seems like a big cluster and would be worth the $50 because I don’t have a windows OS.

Q. Do you know how to upgrade the settings on your device? Say, for instance, you install the custom tune device tune with no intercooler or intake, just spark plugs. Now, you installed both of them after. I'm not seeing the option to add the intercooler and intake now when I flashed it again, only the tire settings. Have you dealt with that?
If you got MPT cuts on tunes like I’d…You’d have to reach out to them and ask if you need a revised tune with the new additions.

How is SCT not compatible with IOS?
Hey Q quick question so with the tune do you have to take it to the Dyno or no ?
No you don’t. Dyno tune is another way to tune. So some people dyno tune their vehicles and others do this form which is “canned tune” or email tune. Now you can take it to dyno to see the difference with before and after installing a “canned tune” if you want to see horsepower gains.

I never ran the stock sct tunes I only loaded the MPT tunes

Not sure. Check their website, they have different software for the different types of systems i.e windows, microsoft etc.

You said you were going to load the stock tune until you finished out the 87 octane You still had left in your tank. Could you just have loaded the “preset 87 octane tune” that comes preloaded until your tank ran out? Is running the preloaded 87 tune better than the stock tune? Gonna get my most mods soon but know nothing about them! Lol thanks
Yea I definitely could have loaded the 87 tune if I wanted too. However I have custom 87 performance tune from MPT Tunes so I didn’t use the “pre loaded tune” from SCT. The 87 performance from MPT it’s better than stock but compared to the 93 tunes... the 93 tunes are way better. I’m doing video on all three soon. So stay tuned.

Yes, you will still get to pick which tune you want to load and run

I’m not sure but the SCT scanner itself comes with tunes. I never looked at them because I went straight to my mpt tunes

Hey man i just mpt tuned my car yesterday and today i noticed power loss, car sounded less powerful and cel came on. Scanned it and it was p0420 which has to do with bank 1 cat converter not working properly. Could a poorly written tune cause this or do you think i happened to have a problem right after i installed the tune. I have stock cats and shorty headers so it shouldn’t be throwing this code

Could you tune more than one truck with this tuner?
Funny you asked me and my friend just talked about this. Once you hook the device up to your vehicle it’s “married” to that vehicle. I believe You have to pay 50$ or so to “unmarry” which requires sending the device in before it can be used on another vehicle. I’m not sure if the tunes stay on the device once unmarried. Think you can only unmarry the device 3 or 5 times before it’s permanently lock to a vehicle
