- Here are my nine-month results with @xyonhealth topical dutasteride. I take all the pictures in the same bathroom with the same phone and under the same light. This video was shot with wet hair. The results look pretty good, considering my hair was dry in the previous shot. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comment section.
Next Tuesday, I'll be at the @ParsaMohebi office to discuss the potential Verteporfin trial. Stay tuned!

Hair is looking good Melvin. Glad the Xyon is working for you.
Thanks bro,
Appreciate that 🙏
Do you need a prescription to use Topical Dutasteride ?
I must admit I thought you were messing with the lighting so thanks for making this video it clears that up! Good results
Video paints a better picture, but hopefully now when I post photos you’ll see it’s in the same room with the same lighting
I think it would be good to get your dht checked as some other people are sensitive to changes. It would be interesting to see how much it reduces your dht if at all. As side effects are individual but seeing dht reduction would give a more specific and non bias look.
The results are great, but not worth the $129 a month price tag in my opinion. I hope they bring the price down.
That’s fair. For me having no sides is more important. But, if you don’t have sides oral is the way to go, much cheaper. Also, my hair is wet in the after and dry in the before. I did this so no one would question the lighting, which I’ve never changed. But it looks better dry.
@@HairTransplantNetwork absolutely. I assumed that if the difference is noticeable when wet, then it must look impressive when dry. No sides is paramount for me and many others. That’s why I hope they eventually bring the price down, as that’s a barrier to entry for a lot of us.
@@happyfarm7997 You should try a cheaper option. Like I said in the video, I use Xyon, but there are plenty of other topicals out there.
@@HairTransplantNetwork I’m currently on topical finasteride. No sides, and I’ve made some gains, but recently started to shed more. So have been considering dutasteride but worry about the possible sides from a more potent 5AR. That’s why Xyon seemed like the perfect middle ground, but I’ll probably have to go for a more affordable topical dut first.
@@happyfarm7997
Happy head and strut have topical dut
Congrats Melvin. You are a good guy. Keep doing what you are doing.
🙏
Thanks for all your vids and research on this topic my friend.
What oral dose per week would you recommend for oral dut, considering it's long half life?
Dr. Vaño recommends 0.5mg 3x per week
@@HairTransplantNetwork Great, thats what I've currently just started.
The topical dut available to me is 0.1% concentration.
Would you say 3 x 1ml per week is a decent dosage?
I am about to order from xyon but your discount code wasn't valid.
Sorry the discount code is HRN
Have you checked your serum DHT level? I think that the most interesting part that leaves no room for bias
I finally ordered topical finasteride with your code. I hope it works for me because I’m thinning badly since I stopped using oral finasteride 2 years ago.
That’s awesome let me know how it works for you 🙏
@@HairTransplantNetwork I’ll take before and after pics for myself and I’ll send them to you whether it does or not. Last time I used finasteride it gave visible results after 3 months so if I don’t get sides I’ll give it 6 months to see if it works for me.
Start off 1x per week. Then slowly build up.
What makes xyon better than other topicals tho is cuz of how it is specially designed to prevent as much systemic absorption
In my opinion, the siloxysytem gel is the best vehicle
@@HairTransplantNetworki use topi al dutasteride lotion 0.1% idroalcolica solution. I use also finasteride 1 mg 4 once a week and dutasteride One once a week.
How are the results?
@@HairTransplantNetwork I struggle to apply it every day I think it’s more like 65% compliance. But I also started doing minoxidil too. But I’m not sure how much it has helped me I’m not really tracking specifically I’m just sticking with it and hoping it stops further hair loss. I plan to go back to wong for reinforcement in some more areas
Will be interesting to see how the topical Dutasteride study shakes out. It should be out in April
Hi, which study are you talking about? Thanks
Which study?
Congrats man, looks like the lower crown really filled in, giving you an even more natural look overall. Would you say your current hair length is the best for the “illusion of density” with your hair? How many inches is your hair on top?
Thanks, the lower crown was the goal, as that was the only area not transplanted. So the medication did its job. I think it's almost at the sweet spot, maybe a few cm shorter would be better. Currently, it's about 4 inches long.
Fantastico
Grazie
How much of those hair are transplanted?
In my lower crown zero
Do you think there is any benefit to using dutasteride over finasteride? Im on fin and wondering if its worth switching
Oral or topical?
@@HairTransplantNetwork oral
I don't see a difference but if you have one, good for you. Are you being given your supply of Xyon at a reduced cost or for free in exchange for your testimony? Also, nine months ago your crown hair transplant from Eugenix was not mature. Your perceived improvement could be a continuation of that result maturing.
Thats fair, if you think it looks the same. Yes, I’m receiving it in exchange for my review. I had no transplanted hair in the lower crown, which in my perception is the area that has improved. But, if you don’t agree, then that’s fair.
@@HairTransplantNetwork
I see a difference. I think homies hatin lol
No, it’s obviously better. That guy needs to have his eyes checked
Looks pretty good, do you plan on getting anymore HTs?
Maybe with Verteporfin 😝
@@HairTransplantNetwork
Does that mean you’re gonna use verteporfin?
melvin please im 34 years old diffuse nw5 having full head of hair my hair is thin that i can see through but it is totally stable for 4 years and i satisfied with that can it stay like this or it will progress further to full baldness i dont want to have transplent or medication i heard that dpa dosent progress to full baldness in any given area
Without medication it will certainly progress to the final stage of hair loss.
Do you think there is a length of time of hair loss where dutasteride and fin can no longer bring back hair? I've been on fin for 4 years with no sides. I'm interested in trying Dut, but if the hair loss has existed for too many years then I don't want to bother with increased hormone modification.
I do think there’s a point where the hair won’t return. But that’s usually hair thats barely visible anymore.
When is the haircut tutorial coming?
As soon as you guys want it. Do you want a styling tutorial as well
Did you check you’re serum dht while on topical dutasteride? Grtz
I haven’t gotten it rechecked
Any update on that CosmeRNA podcast?
They said they’ll have an answer by next year
have you been monitoring your blood levels of dut using it daily?
I took my levels in the beginning. But i haven’t gotten them retested. My insurance keeps denying me 😡 I might have to pay out of pocket
I did not see the big or hardly any difference😮
That’s fair
What’s the news with Verteporfin?
I’m going to Dr. Mohebis on Tuesday to update you guys. A possible trial that I can film.
Are you in minoxidil as well? If not, why?
Yes 5 mg daily
@@HairTransplantNetworkhey Melvin, happy for you man!! If you are on oral minoxidil 5 mg, then it had its effect on your hair ryt...can't solely give credit to topical dut..your thoughts???
@@user-qr1je8iz1g
I used oral minoxidil for 6 months before usually dutasteride
No loss of semen volume?
Not at all
@@HairTransplantNetwork awesome glad to hear. topical fin gave me same sides as oral
