I need a chunky one, a thin crew neck, a roll neck, a V Neck. Different items in the same color to style different outfits. I am Definitely NOT a Minimalist... I Want Variety! My Bestie had me count my coats, jackets & blazers last week... Do I feel guilty that I have 70? NO- Because, (as of now) I have room to store all 70! & I live in a Climate that I wear them the majority of the year. I too, buy a large majority of my wardrobe on the second hand market. I totally feel the “ehhh but I have too many of *insert item’s name/color here*” and I feel like it’s the same when you think you don’t “look good” in certain clothing items. I’ve always liked the trousers and blazers but as I’m quite short (5’3) and have a small waist and larger hips/thighs, I’ve always been told that I look better in skirts and dresses. I used to wear so much skirts (part of it because of dresscode), but now as I’m in college, I started to wear way more trousers/jeans and blazers! I feel so much more comfortable and confident in those compare to skirts and dresses. It was your channel that makes me realize that I could totally wear what I want, disregarding what society deems “pretty” for a woman. So thank you Emma for doing that!! Glad you said that about The Row. Last year I went to a high-end department store to see a lot of higher-end brands in person (not Gucci, LV...like a 1-3 notches down from that). The Row is one that really shocked me. The clothes aren’t well-made, and honestly if I examined the items with no brand or pricing info, I would guess they were something like Banana Republic or Aritzia (not sure of an equivalent UK brand...). The Row goes in the bucket with Sezane and Aritizia for me: love the style, but don’t feel like they’re worth the price.
I just have to say I appreciate how transparent you are with your disclaimers sharing how you bought these items with your own cash. I understand the nature of the business and at this point audiences are smart enough to know when they're being sold to etc. I genuinely love your work and am impressed bc you treat your audience like grown adults who appreciate transparency/honesty. Totally understand your loving black. My friends always laugh and say to me “oh let me guess, brown shoes” or “another navy and white striped top”. Finally last year I said YES! I feel like our fashion arcs are inverse of one another. When I lived in NYC, I wore black. Black, more black, even more black, and sometimes a bit of red. Then I moved to DC and bought a brown bag with colorful embroidery in a moment of complete mental delusion. I sat on it for 2 years before I worked up the courage to bring "color" into my wardrobe. Now, I own almost no black at all, but lots of blues and browns as my neutrals, with pops of jewel tones. Oh, and your comment about this year being "a pile of pants" sent me giggling so hard the dogs came running to make sure I was okay. I've spent decades working with Brits from all over, and somehow never heard that phrase.

I always wanted the Nanushka black Puffer coat but it’s just too pricey for me. I was looking on Vestiaire for it and almost buy it (had only a bit of a ripping in one of the pockets) but then I just thought I would Google it one more time before I purchase it. It was on cyber Monday - totally forgot it - and I found it 50% off on a small boutiques’ website 🙈 It was definitely my fashion purchase of the year! P.S. The Celine horsebit bag I like but would worry that would become heavy on my shoulder with the brass parts before you even put your stuff in the bag? I like wearing black and tan together. Amazing the difference in prices from new to second hand as never gone in this direction to buy before but best way forward to buy designer wear and goods at affordable prices and with great satisfaction when you get a bargain.
It is already fairly heavy - as you can see from my struggle to hold it up 🤣🙈 but I find it fine on my shoulder, although this would depend on how much you carry around. ❤️
I love Manolos- I have long narrow feet and they fit well. Just a note...the Maysli is the same shoe but with a strap. Net-a-Porter has begun to carry Manolos, but only the mule. 🤷♀️ but they’re out there in all the same colors. 😄

Totally agree with your re the row, very overpriced. You can never have too much black 🖤🙌🏻 I struggle with bags that have armholes that slip, that’s my pet hate. Totally agree with your re the row, very overpriced. You can never have too much black 🖤🙌🏻 I struggle with bags that have armholes that slip, that’s my pet hate. Plus, like you mentioned if you have drop sleeved coats then they’re a nightmare if they’re too small. First world problems I know 🤭 Shoutout to Simon 👋☺️

For me they will be something I will wear for many seasons to come - even if they aren't "on trend" as I absolutely love them. So it really depends if you think you will get the wear out of them 👍
