  • Finishing up this transformation, and I am loving it! This truck is a serious crawler but it always looked too cute with its crew cab an little bed, lol. Now it means business with the pinched nose, proper patina, and the all metal flatbed!

    Awsome job! Pushing air through a radiator is more efficient. The air expands as it passes through the radiator and increases in volume. Thus pulling hot air takes longer than pushing cooler air. Also the fan hub restriction on the feed side allows more escape area on the hot side.

    Lot of people don't get the 1:1 detail stuff like the pusher and puller fan setups on a real 1:1, my v8 s10 had to have a pusher and puller staggered setup thanks for sharing that 👍

    We have some of the same ideas, my man! I bought that same CCHand utility bed when it was on sale. But because I'm SUCH a procrastinator, it is just sitting in its box. Someday, I'm going to install mine on my Marlin, along with all the A&M Garage parts that are ALSO still in their packaging. (My friend and I talked some with ya about TF2 and C2X modding at your table at the event in Kendalia, Texas - good times)

    I like the design you came up with but the cab would look better in matt/satin black with rust I my opinion. And a bit of rust on the tray.
    Could be cos I hate white vehicles😁
    That hood scoop looks mega.👍🏻
    For the front bumper what about bending up the horizontal tube where the A bar meets till the edge lines up with the fender corners?.
    Either way I can't wait to see it flexing like a gym bunny.😆

    I dig the core support and hood scoop. The scoop reminds me of General Mayhem. 😁 Seeing the air cleaner in the scoop from the front is the tits! A narrow stinger bumper will definitely look a lot better now that it's narrowed.

    What up broski!!!😎 Had a quick question, I hope you don’t mind me asking?!?! I figure there is no better RC4WD “fanatic” to ask for help from!!! I bought a C2X and was going through and lock tightening all of the hardware, in addition to greasing all that needed attention. Unfortunately, a lot of the hardware appears to be cross threaded/ rusted/ stripped😔 And I can’t get the set screws attaching my drivelines to the transfer case out😔😔😔 I would appreciate any tips/ tricks you may have to offer😎
    Thanks for all of the AMAZING content and scale builds!!!! This community would be a lot less inspirational sans your contribution and passion!!! Hope you know that!!!
    Much LOVE from Fort Collins, CO❤️
    Hope you are having a rad summer and weekend!

      @RCeveryday  Před 2 lety

      Hey Bobby, unfortunately I think the RTR rc4wd rigs have been coming with super glue as locktight. lol Ive seen some questionable white residue on and around the hardware on some of the newer rigs. And it really sucks with the set screws on the shafts. No tricks or tips for them. Just drilling them out and crossing your fingers. I have some of those stuck on my rcmodelex rig right now, and opted to leave them in. If I cant get them out, good odds they wont come loose on me. If the hardware is really cross threaded or rusted right out of the box I would definitely reach out to them about it. Any regular M3 hardware thats stripped I just dremel a nice big ol' flathead screwdriver slot across the head and make it come out.
      Sorry I dont have a better solution for you buddy. Thank you for the kind words and for watching the show. I appreciate it!

    Cool build but honestly I’m not a fan of the whole patina thing, I’m not knocking on your build at all but tired of seeing everything patina’d 24/7 it seems anymore by everybody. I actually like a good looking vehicle and the patina thing is just getting old, but keep up the good work.

    I love patina paint jobs,, check @zetroc_garage,, But anyhow the execution of an enamel wash/filter/solution over any enamel paint will always degrade the underlying paint. Those AK solutions are intended to be applied over a acrylic clear to protect the initial paint work. Basic scale modeling steps apply. ,, And being a streaking solution,, it’s intended to be applied a different way that used here but to each his own. Keep up the fun work
