The praying scene was pretty big for Eddie, last time we see him pray is when he first gets the venom symbiote, as he’s wishing terrible things on others for his shitty life. It’s cool progression and a call back that Eddie would pray now and not really blame others, but ask for safety and forgiveness for his son.
I thought he was praying for forgiveness from God because he was going to off himself that same night.

Flash Thompson, started out as unlikable in early spider-man comics but ended up becoming one of the most well developed and likable characters in the spider-man mythos. I would have loved to see flash Thompson as agent venom in king in black!
This makes me want a spiderman web of shadow remake or sequel.

just read the issue an hour ago I really thought Peter was going to save Eddie since he was sent away in Issue 1. Also like how Peter gave Dylan a communicator so not be left out doing nice to see him do uncle things

Man, you can actually feel the characters fear and urgency in this story, all the events feel like a real threat and that's why i'm loving it so far, it's so apocalyptic, chaotic, hopeless... Man, they're making one hell of a good job with this story
Here's an interesting thought... what would happen if Knull absorbed AntiVenom? I could see that being a really interesting way to weaken/defeat Knull.

My guess is, the symbiot goo will activate the symbiot cell still left in eddie n he will have new suit but able to keep in contact with Eddie from Knull's head. My guess tho🤷🏿♂

I noticed he glossed over something kind of important. Rex mentions that Eddie doesn't even know Venom's real name. That doesn't seem like a throwaway line. We've seen all throughout many forms of literature and media that knowing/saying the name of something, or of a person can cause a massive powerup/unlocking of abilities.

Yeah same, one it would be too easy, two it wouldn't make sense because he's not a symbiote and is an actual God. Three, If anyone's going to "defeat" him, more so like seal him because he's amortal, I want it to be a true god, like the new god mentioned, the opposite of knull; the god of light teaming up with the heroes to defeat him. So much hype for such a badass god and I don't want him to go down easy or by some bs.

@@210SAi I think it’s going to be the Phoenix Force who bonds to someone, in the last avengers run before this, we see that the Phoenix is resting on earth waiting for a host.
And we know it’s gotta be some being who is a god of light, because that’s what Wraith told Eddie before he died, and the Phoenix fits the description perfectly

When Eddie started to pray on his descent, I was starting to believe that this is how the entity that Knull was concerned about would be introduced. The light counterpart to Knull I mean. But no, Eddie needs to suffer a lil xD lol
Knull feels like he fits more into the role of Marvel's Darkseid than Thanos does now, a literal god who's goal is the removal of free will in the multiverse

Switch the black lantern core symbiotes, replace undeed wkth symbiote control and death darkness/nothingness.
Their goals may be different but they’re of that same type to seek an ultimate power. What makes them different to Knull is that he created that ultimate power.

This had nothing to do with age dude. Knull simply stated that Eddie's symbiote is HIS child and as his child he must serve as said creator dictates.

One of the coolest stories out this year. Brock being one of my classic favs from long ago i happy to see all these years later he has so much character growth and involvement in the marvel world, more than i ever thought possible tbh......also tbh always had a soft spot for a venom spiderman team up
THIS STORY IS AMAZING! I believe Eddie is gonna get swallowed by the that symbiote pool and forcefully take back Venom or Venom is gonna find his way to him and break free...one way or another that man is coming back in black

I hope Virus as a concept returns. The aesthetic of scavenged war machine armor and goblin tech is awesome. I think making it Gargan was kind of a mistake since he's essentially always going to return to being Scorpion, but if somebody else takes the name, I'd be more than happy.
Got two feelings about this. Gorr the God Butcher might show up and finished a job he didn’t get to finish or Eddie’s wife from the alternate Universe shows up for added drama.
I also think Codex will come into play and/or Donald Blake
I actually really like the part where Eddie Brock prayed for the safety of his kid in what he thinks are his last moments. With all of the madness that Eddie has done as Venom over the years, we kind of forget that he started of as a Catholic that lost his faith on the worst day of his life that turned him evil. Now he's on the other side of that and even though I think most of us know where this story is going, we know that the character has actually changed for the better... before getting bashed up like a pinata.
What if Ra's al Ghul possessed the Mandarin's ten rings?

What if Luke Skywalker became a Green or Blue Lantern?
What if Jason Todd/Red Hood became Spawn?
