Its stories like this that makes me a captain America fan. Cap is not perfect, he does make mistakes like the rest of us but at the end of the day, he always does what he can to do the right thing and he always push forward and always find a way to win, even when things look bleek or impossible. I think this particular series of comics is even deeper than hes presenting it to be. Theres a ton of metaphor and symbolic narrative as well as parallels to many aspects of life and free will.

Beyond omega level - Characters with upcoming TV shows/Films with plot armor that thick they are gods.
Rob I feel like it would be really interesting to do a "Omega vs" series of videos. Where you would pit similar charecters from DC, IMAGE, and Marvel comics omega level beings. Or even objects of power from each respective universe. A bad example would be Hulk vs Lucifer Morningstar a good example is Hulk vs Doomsday. It could provide a chance to explain the charecters and artifacts and talk about there feats and changing origins. And I think you could differ from other channels by leaving it open ended and provide the viewer different possible scenarios where one charecter would win over another and vice versa. Just throwing it out once

True courage isn't the absence of fear it's having fear but still pushing forward. You can't even have courage unless you have fear.
I have used this exact statement to explain how Superman is no hero.
@@DominusNox106 I don't pay attention to DC comics too much, but I would argue that original(?) encounter with Doomsday would be a good counter example.

@@DominusNox106 Superman has loads of fear and self-doubt. Just like Cap in this story, he’s painfully aware of what he represents to everyone around him, how he’s a symbol that can just as easily lead people to their own suffering and destruction as well as their salvation. Not only that, but unlike Cap he is absurdly powerful and one wrong move or mistake can cause the death of thousands. He has to stay in complete control in everything he does. Just because he’s mostly invulnerable (even though there are plenty of beings who can still kill him) doesn’t mean he’s without fear. Superman is a hero among heroes
@@DominusNox106 Superman’s fear isn’t so much about loosing or dying. His fear is much akin to Raven’s as in the fear of letting loose and going too far.
His fear is loosing control of himself and killing everyone around him. Other side of the isle, but still fear.
The way Knull grinds into the psyche is brutal. I really like how Rob lays it all out. Great video
Well said Rob. Love how you took from the story the underlying lessons from these characters struggles within themselves versus the calamity sitting in front of them.
I fight against anxiety and depression every day. So this one really hits home and it helps to know that other people are out there has it just as bad or worse. So this video is very uplifting for me

this was really well done. Its such a perfect representation of something possessing you, and what it takes to overcome it.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown, or carries that shield. The humanity evident in Cap is hypnotizing to me. Such a powerful person still having doubts, asking questions. We're not that far apart at the end of the day, are we?

I can see why you might think to not cover the tie-ins, they don't really add anything to the overall story. But man, this one was a great one. Sure, it's a story that's been told before, but it was done so well. Great coverage as usual man.

This is the main reason I like Captain America for all the reasons you listed. He's not the strongest, smartest, fastest but he always stands for what he believes in and fights to his dyeing breath for those beliefs. I really enjoyed this video I always kind of thought you didn't like Cap. I'm happy to see I may have been mistaken. Keep up the great videos.

I love how they implement the "darkness" Knull represents. He's not just some caricature of "evil", just bad for the sake of being bad. Instead he's the personification of all the destructive aspects inherent to all life: Doubt, fear, hunger for power, pushing your will onto others, stubbornness, the instinct to destroy, egoism, mistrust, ... All things we're familiar with, because to some degree it applies to all of us. And we all know how powerful these aspects can be.
He is the thing that hides in the dark corners of your mind. And that's fucking scary.

Ngl I haven’t been able to relate to a comic more I see knull as my depression and cap as me always putting a front for others, when you said he’s gotta put himself on autopilot to get through then Bucky and Sam handed him his shield I teared up a bit cause I definitely need my Sam and Bucky a support system, this whole thing seems more of a demon in the bottle the more I read into it.
