Hey Alexandra! I know this is a pretty old video and you probably will never see this comment, but after years of watching you I finally decided to try out the hobby. I just ordered a set of Black Legion Chaos Space Marines, and I don't know if I'll ever get into the tabletop strategy side of the game but I am beyond excited to try my hand at painting these guys! Thank you for the years of relaxing entertainment, I look forward to following along step by step from here on out. Cheers and thanks!

Excellent Job. Thanks so much for all the effort it takes to put one of these Vids together. I've recently tried my hand at a painting Tutorial.. whew..not easy. I've sat down for 3 separate attempts and still haven't begun painting yet. Well, I'll get it one day. Thanks again.
Another thing I found handy for the brass on the Legion is Brass Balls from P3 and a good mud wash; quick and very effective.

Super! Ich habe bei meiner Black Legion ähnliche Farbmischungen gewählt, bevor ich zurück zum 2. Editionsschema gegangen bin (Iyanden Darksun als Foundation, darüber Gelbgold und Gryphonne Sepia).Ist mehr comichaft aber so hab ich Abaddon kennengelernt ^^.Nur auf das abdunkeln vom Grau bin ich nicht gekommen. -_- Danke für den Anreiz und schön zu sehen, dass noch jemand graue Bases zu schwarzen Miniaturen macht (ich bekomme dafür immer Schelte, von wegen Kontrastierung. ;) ).Jeder so wie er mag.
i want to start a chaos army. kinda want to be fancy and not do simple black legion....however as time has become a more valuable commodity to myself, black legion seems like a quick and easy way to go. and this video helps a lot. thanks or the tips.

i love all your vids. i try to style my painting afters yours. i started my own chaos chapter..brotherhood of sin they have same paint scheme as the black legion but with green lightning bolts on the black

@nothung2145 Believe it or not a good way toget a point on a brush is to put in in your mouth (before you dip it in paint) and when you pull the brush out it comes out pointed. It was a staff member in the GW that showed me that trick and it works well.

Very nice technique with the brown/bronze-undercoat. I'll try this on my chaos marines.
Have you tried painting with GW's Tin Bitz-color? Do you think it works good as an undercoat?
I tend to paint the main portion of the model without the back pack on and sometimes the trigger arm off as well. It lets me get at tight areas of the torso and inset of the backpack more readily. Then glue those parts on near the end of the paint job. Do you ever use that approach as well?

I always thought the bullet shells should be boltgun metal, and the slugs should be copper, but your take is interesting...
can i ask where you bought the stuff you used on the transfer sheet to stick it to the shoulder pad? As well as where you got the varnish?
how do you get a brush with such a firm tio i got gw brushes and they bend and are not good for fine detail.
How do you get the base to secure to the holding cylinder you use?
you know, I found that when you have two blacks that dont quite match matt varnish evens it out.

Checking all the videos already, The only thing that was intereting for you was the voice? Cause that can be change in many ways, specially not using your mother language.
