Lee if you go down tapas alley on the right there’s a tapas place you can get proper tapas like lots of small dishes rather than the stuff on the bread
So if you look at your receipt you bought 2 drinks and got 2 tapas / pinchos free !! So when you bought 2 extra tapa you could have got another glass of wine with the free tapa for 2€ instead of €1.50 for just the tapa.
Pincho is just a snack to eat with your drink like sometimes you get free nuts or olives. Its not a meal for everyone saying it wasnt much food.
Cheese was probably manchego .
there is another tapas square in the old town as well, where Lucy, the Benidorm enthusiast went :) thats worth a try to
winding a cassette back with a pencil in the sunshine with a cold beer - Magic
There is a whole interesting history of dipping bread into drinks and it also has a hand in the beginning of the saying 'raising a toast' 😊

(Tapas wise)You choose some really crap places and dishes Lee, no offence but there is a pattern to it, the wine dipping wow. You persist with the bread tapas rather than raciones. 😂 sorry that looked harsh upon review but it is frustrating, it must be for you too when there is real quality cheeses and Iberican ham, wines etc out there

Lee try this as an idea. In the UK go to a Spanish restaurant and order tapas. Cafe Andaluz is a decent chain and for Christmas this year you get bread ; meats 5 x tapas and a desert for around £30 a head for 2 x sharing. It will give you a taste of Spanish scoff which would be classed as raciones . What you get in Tapas Alley is pinchos as you said things on bread to cover your glass not a full meal. But thinking latteraly wouldn't it be great if British bars did similar to help soak up the alcohol e.g. a square of Welsh Rarebit, a mini Yorkshire pud, a slab of pate, etc, etc with a pint would work - and stop you going for a dirty kebab at the end of the night. Keep up the good work & our favourite bar in Tapas Alley is La Rincon de Ribera- 8 x tapas & a bottle of wine €16. The rose is an Alicante rose which is great and ironically served by our local Nepalese restaurant in Scotland.
Going out on the 3rd of November I think I will stick to the original tapas alley 👍

Well on to the Tap Arse😮 First thing the restaurant looked bright & clean.Maybe its just us who like our food server's to wear gloves 🧤 😢. Onwards, the displays.Multi-Colour, mixed textures.Like Berttie Bassett says it takes all sorts 😂 My opinion? The last time i saw anything like that was at the Tate Modern 😂 Yours and Gwennie's reactions were a mixed bag, I'm left thinking, plate of assorted sarnies& crisps. Magic. Thought Gwennie the video virgin😂was a natural ❤ to the next one Allan&Family ❤😊
