10.1 Shadow Priest NERFS! | June 27th Patch Notes

The 10.1 nerfs in Dragonflight for Shadow Priest are very small I wouldn't worry about it at all, we will still be the defacto #1 dps class in mythic plus, and we will still be very strong in raid too!

unrelated question, do you have any experience with how undulating sporecloak interacts with Angelic Bulwark talent? do they both activate at the same time?
so weirdly enough, Bulwark does not work how the tooltip says it does. Bulwark procs when you take a hit thats bigger than 30% of your health (weird ik) so they work together fine
Reworked Shadow into a corner with psyche link and PI, was sadly obvious that the spec will be a balancing mess
yeah exactly, will see what kind of stuff they do moving forward but I wouldn't be surprised if we see another rework eventually
Is it still worth gong Yogg Saron on single target?

Something is happening to my priest cuz im not seeing this numbers on single target. Hardly I am over 100k dps in single target on raid fights.
On some mythic dungeon boss I go over that, but ... I dont know...

Sin burst opening a lot of time, after the first Void Bolt i should be castong DP to then VT, but i am at 30 insanity after void volt.. so wtf?
yeah unfortunately its hard to tell you what you are accurately doing wrong without seeing any footage or a log

Have been maining Spriest for a long time. I will be fine with anykind of nerf, but please bring Shadowy Apparition Army back. Instead of Crit, please give me 2. This is the satisfication of play Spriest, not that shitty dmg meter.
yeah I agree, before DF came out they made it so that crits just make your ghosts do more damage instead of spawning 2. was pretty sad
does the build change or do we continue to run with yogg saron
There's a couple of simmed builds atm with running things like Dark Ascension or maybe Distorted Reality however I would probably just wait a week or so to see what gets ironed out because the previous builds are still competitive

I've been messing around with mindbender, mastermind, mind melt, with crit mixed in. It might get better after the changes, but it's still probably not great, but it's been fun to test lol. I made some videos on it, though my last one went horribly
I remember they buffed mastermind a lot before the rework was officially released too
@TemprTV oh shit, I didn't realize that. Idk man, the build I run seems competitive.. I even dropped VoiT bc with bender, and wanting shadow flame prism props, VoiT kinda gets in the way. It's heretical, I know, but it's just this rabbit hole I've been going down lol. Bored, u know? Meta has gotta still be better, though

Mindgames should be included into mastermind
Spriest should be one of the highest damaging classes imo , theyre probably one of he hardest to master with a very specific rotation to follow, if you miss a shadowcrash or dot your cleave falls below the pack pretry fast, a rather unforgiving spec to play should be as rewarding as hitting top dps spots

i play shadow priest and warlock. atleast with shadow priest you have shadow crash to apply all dots. destro you have to dot every target manually with immolate and reapply each target when its expiring. same goes for affiliction if you dont talent into vile taint and seed of corruption cost shards
What a load of bs, top dps should always go to non-hybrid classes - rogues/mages/warlocks/hunters since they have no options. That being said, shadow atm is as braindead as you can get without being Devastation. Calm your goofy pants down
No, just no. When even noobs are pumping that's when you know a class needs nerfed

That doesn't cover the abilitys they also removed from shadow that has people upset
2 damage decreased, majority increased. you say nerf. read the post
it is a nerf, with the current build the percentage nerf on idol of yogg-saron was bigger than the buffs we got on another abilities.
Mind Flay / Mind Spike buffs are very low impact
SWD buffs are meaningless because we rarely press the button
VB/MB buffs are good but does not make up for the massive decrease in Yogg-Saron.
This isn't a 'theory" that it was a nerf, it is math.
The yogg dmg nerf is omega busted, who the fuck decided on a 35% nerf? dafuq
ikr I just really hope we dont go back to using mindbender + inescapable torment, I'm not a huge fan of that ability tbh
