i feel like shadow is way better outside of their cooldowns now, feels very good to just maintain damage on a boss without VE or DA on and still pump damage. And in cooldowns its arguably even more fun for me now, ngl I love the rework, was worried but am glad I stuck around for season 2 and didnt swap mains
Yeah I'm enjoying it too, curious to see what kind of builds pop up as the season continues

Thanks mate. Need to experiment more with that talent choice. Mind's Eye you keep reapplying to a single priority target whereas Distorted Reality can be cast on as many targets as possible that will live for the duration.
You know that feeling when something is missing in your life? That's 10.1 shadow, mind sear was cool to press XD

Only if you're using the Distorted Reality talent and the mob will live long enough

Hey skimmynz, dumb question, how many globals do you fit between each VB? 3 or 2, worth delaying an ability or hit VB on exactly GCD or its a dps lose and just fit 3 abilities between globals
Void Bolt > 2 Globals > Void Bolt. You wanna cast it as many times as possible for dot extensions and then DP for void form extension.
@@skimmynz i see thank you, i was reading IV guide on the opener and it say 3 gcd, but i notice that most of the time you can go with 2, that confused me
I really like the rework. But aren't you missing out on a lot of dps by letting Mind Spike Insanity linger so much and doing DP on top of it?
Not sure, was focussed on DP uptime for mastery

The rework simplified it, last patch was one of the harder specs to play well. It's rewarding when it all starts to click.
I wish Torrent would benefit from Haste (PI) and mind spike could still proc instant cast. Otherwise spec feels good.
Yeah feels quite punishing now when you have to move. Would love to see us have another way to extend dots without Void Form too.
do you think shadow is easier to play now? and when do you use mind spike ? I saw you didn't use the big pulls
Yeah, been simplified alot. Spike/Flay is a filler spell that has the lowest priority. Seems Mind Spike Insanity is best used when Mind Blast and Void Torrent are on CD.

I’ve noticed that I am doing more dmg than before, but there's also more periods of downtime where I can't press anything except mind spike?

Does shadow priest need to ramp its dps? Like does it do more damage when the pulls have bigger health pulls ? I’m doing like 10-14 right now on the new season and before I can get started packs are dead. My damage looks terrible lol.. I’m 417 with 29% haste and on the aoe dummies I can only cap out at 180k then maintain 175k
Yeah that's to be expected. You need time to setup dots, build insanity and then use cooldowns. In higher keys with bigger pulls, Spriest excels!

Yeah I have a 415 gem, depends on dungeon/affixes - sometimes the DPS difference is really small, other times Gem pulls really far ahead.

Mind Blast > Mind Spike. Spike is a filler spell when better choices are on cooldown.

Personally, I think that Mind Devourer might be better than phantasmal pathogen, plus now I feel like Cthun does useless dmg, which I hate because its my fav talent.
You should personally look at sims instead of having a feeling , and cthun damage is good + gives you insanity to pump more dps
