Great video! I would suggest covering the rest of your attic floor (solid wood) now so you have more room for storage.
Dave, are you going to have the garage door dry walled over for your library and how are you going to cool it? I ask b/c it gets hot in the garage with no a/c and if you plan on tapping into to house a/c, check to see if the house unit can push enough cold air to the garage space. Keep in mind too that the garage might not be insulated in the walls. Good luck!
EDIT: YES, consider having the attic built out in the future. Even if it’s a gaming hang out for the boys.

Yeah Florida gets' hot & humid'. That's bad for dvd/cd discs. Another youtuber moved away from Florida & later returned to get his movies & music he left at his parents home in Florida. His parents put everything in the garage....most discs were warped & unplayable.

that whole thing would make me have anxiety. I would have rented a storage until at this point to put the stuff in and just bring it in as needed.

The Most Stressful things in life...Getting Married Planning a Wedding and Moving! We did it both in same year and we fought so much. Just take time together and do it 1 room at a time. I also recommend storage unit!

yeah, we accumulate so much stuff over time. you don't relieve it until you have to move. I've had my apartment for 9 years and I hope I never have to move again. good luck to you both.

Dude, that’s crazy two ppl that’re strong collectors of different things living together is dangerous. It’s a slippery slope I’ve seen Dani in past videos limiting pick ups super smart of her, and Dave I know you’ve stopped collecting pez/pops/figment. It’s important you two keep each other in check nothing worse than being overwhelmed by stuff but coping for the other person’s sake

I know you may hear it alot but I was in the same situation and I finally after months of saying no I got a storage locker thing it saved me so much time while I did my gameroom 😅 . Then after I just stopped having one . But you know your home and layout more .
I'd also recommend something to cool the attic down during summer or they could get destroyed in the heat. Be careful messing with the floof .

I’m loving the progress of all this! You’re definitely inspiring me to get going on my collection room because I’ve been putting it off. I feel super overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done, but it needs to start somewhere. Can’t wait to see more progress on your library!

I feel your pain, Dave and Dani. It's always a huge adjustment when packing, moving, and unpacking everything and I've lived in 14 dwellings, 7 cities, and 3 countries. It's no picnic. Haha!
You will have your home all organized again, I'm sure. It's always overwhelming having rooms tidied up and decorated the way you want, but you'll get there as you always do. :)

#SlowlyButSurely Heh, we put all of our holiday decor, outside or inside up in the attic. We do have a lot more space than the average attic or so I'm told(it goes pretty far across the house). We have a closet like that too with your current holiday decor, but in my case, it's full of old computer stuff that I REALLY need to purge except for maybe a hard drive or two (far less than what's in there). I have complete faith that you and Danielle will get all of that under control and it will look marvelous in the near future. Really look forward to seeing the media library come alive.
A quick note to Danielle, while I certainly agree there are other projects that need to be taken care of around the house, Dave will probably feel like a part of him is missing until the media library is built (I know because I went through the same thing about 8-10 years ago), so the sooner he gets that done (or at least to a resting stop), the quicker the other projects will go (and the less he might be talking about it lol).
