To get rid of the HoverAir noise in the background when you’re talking, I use a lapel mic that I plug into my iPhone. The sound is more clear and crisp with no drop out audio. Just make sure you keep the HoverAir app open all the time when you’re recording
I'd experienced with another pocket drone. One of the main problem when shooting outdoor is wind condition. Difficult for drone to stay in balance even with mild wind condition. With stronger wind, it actually got swept away & landed on the road. Luckily, I was at a light traffic vicinity so I was able to retrieved before any damage or harm was done. Loss confidence to fly it outdoors after that mishap.
I've used mine on the beach with strong wind, it was fine :)

Playback appears very jumpy. Is it possible to get smoother playback? There also appears to be a high level of digital sharpening. is there a setting for this? Also is there a setting slow the camera movement on modes like orbit mode?
in orbit mode you can only adjust angle， height，radius， not for speed

Can u tell me how many watts the battery charger uses? I want to know if a good powerbank can recharge 1 or 2 batteries. TIA
Unlike my damn annoying DJI, this CAN be recharged with normal C type USB cables and a powerbank. It takes 55 minutes if you plug into the drone, or 35 mins if you use the 2-battery charger, charging one at a time. The batteries are so light though that it's easy to carry a couple spare.

No SD card is deal breaker...
You should never fly it near water. It was even an icy lake. Suddenly, it landed on its own... Even when connected to manual mode, there was no takeoff button, so there was a situation where even after connecting, there was no way to get out. In the end, we broke up two weeks after purchasing it.
Even in manual mode, there is an issue where you have to press the takeoff button on the main unit in case of an emergency.
Escape is impossible. Information errors in the bottom sensor are probably common during the winter.
The problem is that it lands on its own when a situation occurs, so it cannot be recovered in a place where it cannot be recovered.
Even if an emergency situation occurs, there is no way to control it.

Yes, DJI is a joke to me, as it takes forever to set their drones up to fly. I have a Mavic Air that's about 5 years old and I've used it 5 times, because it's too much hassle.

I think it's a great idea to have a simple drone without remote to snap some great shots when you need it.
Btw, what is the flight time? As there is no mention of that. I hope it can fly at least 15-20 min with a full battery.
And what is the price? The quality of the video and pics looks good, but that's it "good", not great and far from amazing. But still I think for this quality the price shouldn't be more than $200 or $250 max, if it's more there are already better options on the market.
This company launched their first camera 6 or 7 years ago if I remember it right (the hover passport drone), basically a bigger versions of this product, which I always thought was a great concept, but back then I ended up buying the entry level DJI Spark drone, which was cheaper and was better in everything, flight time, image and video quality and stabilization.. than there has the Hover 2, right? That was also a great concept but actually didn't made it to the market....
Of course the product improved in these 6 or 7 years, as it got smaller, but in my opinion just not enough. I mean the tech is definitely there, I mean battery tech, camera tech, drone motors etc. So I don't understand why there is not a much performant small drone on the market.
And how noisy is it? As it sounds to be quite noisy from your sample footage.
The video says that flight time is fifteen to twenty minutes per battery. Maximum altitude is fifteen meters above ground. My Facebook adverts say the discount early bird backers' price is $279, or $299 with a spare battery.

Flight time is 11 minutes per battery. I got the combo pack with 2 spare batteries. You say there are better options on the market? Really? That fit in my pocket, can take out of my pocket, turn on, take off, get the shot and back in my pocket in less than a minute? Do tell me about them?

i guess no more then 11kph , to much plastic little motors, i have tello with blade guards = 12kph without them 33kph, and this x1 drone all guards

Nice idea and tempting...but the one area you did not cover and it is SUPER important, what restrictions or not comes from the FAA about flying this device with or without an FAA Certificate ? What happens when you travel outside of the US. Will other countries let you, the tourist, fly this while on tour someplace ? These questions may and will prevent people from buying this drone.
I think it's far below the weight and distance concerns of the FAA restrictions...
Different countries have different rules. If one has been flying drones, then one would know to research. If one is new to drones and knows nothing about some countries having rules, then that cannot be help b/c it's not common knowledge. Most, if not all, drone manufactures includes disclaimers on their documentation regarding local drone restrictions.
The 15 meter limit and it' s size and battery life/range keep it under thr specifications requiring licensure in the US. As in all international policies, the user/ participant is responsible . That is the rule for drones.flying cameras, camo clothing, toy guns, hiking poles on airplanes, and thousands of other topics. Standard procedure, nothing new, take responsibility for yourself, your actions and your choices.
What about the biggest con of all? That whine ruins all the audio of you speaking when that thing is within earshot. Completely unusable except for voiceover applications.

Use a microphone, follow the instructions, use the app. Totally doable.
No con - using the phone app, you add your voice on the phone during flight and the prop noise is eliminated - amazing!

It's 15 meters max from the point that you start. However, it would be pretty windy if you're climbing a mountain, so we doubt it would be good for you anyway.
@@Versusdotcom thanks. while wind can be a factor sometimes, single pitch sport climbing routes can vary from 10 meters up to 40 meters long. having a drone follow would be pretty neat!

No, I also thought that... scroll to the bottom of the page and it will say it is just for the propellers. Shame on AliExpress for allowing just the propellers to be advertised like it is the whole drone. Thus why I have never bought from them as I just can not trust a company that allows advertising like that.
