    Great tutorial... i think i could do that from your instructions and it turned out beautifully. Your kind spirit shines through as well. Thank you & keep going!

    Like tutorials that you go straight to the point and not too much distraction with chit chat, appreciate that.

    I love the way that turned out. I like the simplicity of how you blended the colors and I love how the black wax worked for you with this color. Using black wax is always so scary but this was spectacular.

    Did I hear you right? This is the first video ever! Dionne your a natural teacher. I'm blown away not only by the way you paint, but also by your humbleness, kindness, and heart.
    The first video I ever watched of you was the first Friday Night live with Q a year ago. I watched amazed & speechless as you blended paint into a sunset on the dresser. Now I joined your CC group and I'm looking forward to finding my own style. Your a true inspiration!!! Thank you!

    have you considered trying Dorland's Wax Medium, it can be mixed with paint, micas, powdered pigments, heated and dries hard. It is actually an encaustic medium but much like what you are using but hardens to protective surface, a museum quality and is reasonably priced.

    OK I am the most beginner of beginners... so don’t laugh if this is a beyond ridiculous question.
    I have a kitchen table that looks like it has some kind of veneer on top of it. It doesn’t look like you sanded that piece of furniture beforehand. Would I need to sand my kitchen table first or can I just pain it as it is?

    What did you do after the black wax ? Since you didn’t wax all of it in black. Did you wax the whole thing in clear or no wax after the black?

    • @TheTurquoiseIris
      @TheTurquoiseIris  Před 6 lety +3

      I only applied the black in areas...not the entire piece. I covered the rest of the paint in the clear wax.

    The sound quality is bad. I had my speakers all the way up. I tried watching with the captions - but they didn't always make sense.
