107 wins - 6 losses - 1 draw. That is insane. That’s actually better than mayweather 50-0 because this man fought 114 boxers and only lost 6 fights and still can walk, talk and live. Legendary.

Actually I think Mayweathers record is better because he won more titles in more weight classes than Chavez and beat more HOF fighters. Mayweather even has a win over De La Hoya and De La Hoya made Chavez quit.

This Mexican boxer needs to be recognized for what he achieved.
Ricardo López was the third champion in history to retire undefeated and the first to do so as both an amateur and professional fighter. He also shares with Joe Louis and Floyd Mayweather Jr. the record for most consecutive title bouts without a loss (twenty-six).[11][12] This streak began with his knockout of Hideyuki Ohashi to win the WBC mini flyweight title in 1990 and ended with his knockout of Zolani Petelo to defend his IBF junior flyweight title in 2001. Ricardo only had one draw, which came against Rosendo Álvarez in 1998 in López's 48th bout and was avenged in the rematch eight months later. His final record was 51 wins (38 knockouts), 0 losses and 1 draw.

JCC. 1. He had a powerful Jab. 2. A powerful straight punch with the right hand. 3. A terrifying hook 4. The upper cut was deadly 5. Undecipherable location 6. Accuracy, did not miss hits 7. Head movement 8. Movement of the waist 9. He knew how to move to put a fence on his opponents and they would not get out of the punishment he gave them, and instead when his opponents dared to corner him, he would come out with movements that seemed easy, but due to his technique he made them seem simple. 10. He fought up to 14 times a year (see the data) 11. He attacked and defended with gloves, arms, and head and waist movements. 12. He studied you in seconds, he was extremely intelligent in combat 13. The jaw he had was made of titanium, he came out unharmed from his fights, due to his technique of attacking you without giving you respite. 14. He had changed his guard when required, he boxed left-handed. Please if anyone gets a chance rewatch the fight with Pernel Whitaker the 8th round is masterful put it in slow motion as he takes the punches off and apparently takes punches in the fight that didn't hurt him instead watch what Pernel takes Please watch the fight in slow motion on video and you will realize the details and you will see that JCC, with everything and that Pernel was a good boxer, JCC won that fight. 15. JCC began to lose not because he had an inflated record, everyone who has entered the ring with a professional knows that it is already a victory to be a professional and it detracts from boxers when they say that nonsense. 16. This guy fought with everyone and got tired after 14 years of Reynar in boxing, fighting with the best ranked and from different countries, logically his fame, the years as a professional, vices, parties ended him and his imminent decline came 17. As an American boxer said, if JCC had been born in the USA, he would be considered the best boxer in history, not because of his weight, statistics or championships or toughness, speed, resistance or attack, but because of all his virtues, the man Arrived to this world to be naturally the best boxer in history to whom that throne has not been recognized, he had it all. Many place it in the top 5, maybe it is number 1.

Curious, what do you think of Salvador Sanchez in comparison? (Strictly as a Mexican GOAT) seems like a lot of people write off Chavez, like a street bum when they reference Sanchez. I didn’t grow up in his era, but I DO remember Chavez!!! 🇲🇽 🏆🥊

I think something important to note to a younger audience maybe just learning about these guys. I’ve been watching some JCC vids lately and seeing a lot of people upset he’s labeled as a great Mexican boxer rather than just a great boxer, as if there’s a difference. Well, there actually is. I think often times Mexican boxers are held in a higher regard because Mexico produces specimen such as this. It’s just saying he’s the best in a crop that already set itself above the rest

¡¡ EL GRAN CAMPEÓN MEXICANO !!
    107 triunfos - 6 derrotas - 1 empate
Ese 👆 fue su gran record. Acumuló
    grandes triunfos y protagonizó las
mejores peleas en las décadas de
los 80's y de los 90's. Pero su triunfo
    más importante fue cuando venció
al maldito mundo de las Drogas 🙏
Que viva el grandioso y legendario
    ¡¡Julio Cesar Chávez!! 🇲🇽🥊💪❤💚
